I woke up the next morning, my bed sheets stained with blood, and my pillow soaked with tears. After I had relieved my need for pain last night after I finished whatever homework, I had fallen asleep crying. I rolled onto my side, and then fell off the bed. Hitting the ground, I grunted, and sat up slowly. I crawled over to my dresser, and pulled myself up using the edge of the dresser. I slowly began to pull off my clothes from yesterday, wincing as my shirt brushed against the large bruises, and welts down my back from my father’s belt. I then pulled from my dresser a loose black t shirt, and a pair of bright red skinny jeans. I snatched up my bag as I ran up the stairs, and peered into the fridge looking for something to eat. I grabbed myself an apple, and then left the house, not staying any longer than I wanted to.

I climbed off my bus, and then walked towards the school, passing through the parking lot on my way towards it. A car pulled into the parking lot, almost running into me in the process. I jumped out of the way, and then pulled the strap up of my bag onto my shoulder further. I stared into the car that just about ran me over, and I found a couple arguing with each other. In the back of the car, a guy about my age with purple hair was leaning over saying good-bye to his four year old sister before climbing out of the car.
I found myself staring at the guy who had just stepped out of the car. He was clearly a new student here at Gulliver High, and the only other student who wasn’t a prep. I looked briefly up at the sky, and sarcastically thanked god in my head. Besides his purple hair, he wore a t-shirt with a band logo on it (One of my favourite bands too), black and white striped skinny jeans, a black glove on his right hand with the fingers cut off, and red converse shoes.
“Come on Aadin, you can make it through school.” I muttered to myself as I entered the school.
“Hey Fallis!”
I bit my lip as soon as I heard one of the preps call out to me. I bit harder when I noticed who it was. Josh, the school’s top athlete, and academic student.
“I heard you like balls.”
I growled a bit, and then raised my hand towards him, and flipped him the middle finger. “Sit on it and spin.” I told him, a small smirk on my face.
I walked down the hallway, but was pulled back by the collar of my shirt. I hit the ground with a thud, and then found a shoed foot meet my gut. I groaned at the pain, and then rolled away from whoever kicked me, clutching my stomach.
“Stay on the floor, Faggot.” Josh told me, laughing as he walked away.
I heard a brief thwack, and I looked over my shoulder to find that Josh had been dropped to the floor. I tried smiling through my pain at the fact that Josh was holding his nose. I watched as a red converse shoe was placed on Josh’s side, and I looked up to find the purple haired emo boy, staring down at Josh. I watched as all the other preps that hung around Josh run off. I tried sitting up slowly, but found myself disoriented from being pulled onto the ground as quickly as I was. Laying back down, I looked towards the knight in shining armour, that had come to my rescue.
Smiling at me, he walked over, and then held out his hand to help me up. I took his hand, and braced my feet as he pulled me up into a standing position. I looked up at the purple haired knight, and then placed my hand beneath my nose as it began bleeding. I groaned realizing that I had took a pretty good fall, that caused me to have a nose bleed.
“Let me go get the school nurse.”
A black bag covered in buttons saying no to authority, and expressing someone’s like for certain bands. I stared at the bag, and then looked towards the head of purple hair that was running towards the office. I smiled to myself, and then peered around the foyer. There were several preps standing staring at me, almost with wide eyes. The school may not have been the best place to be, but it was the smallest place of freedom from home. I watched the guy from earlier quickly return with one of the nurses. I was dragged off towards the nurse’s office, the purple haired guy carrying my bag, and his.
I was sat down on one of the beds, and I watched the guy the entire time that the nurse was dealing with my nose. I had the sudden urge to tell the man how good he looked. I waited until the nurse left before I stared down the purple haired person before me.
“You are so beautiful.”
It was soon after I had said that, that I had fallen from the edge of the bed, and managed to smash my head against the floor.

It was total silence, for what felt like an eternity. Did it finally happen? Did I die? Was my entire horrid life over? Was I about to be re-incarnated or something? Wait… I can’t be dead! I don’t want to be dead! I had just meet the guy of my dreams!
…
…
“What do you mean I can’t keep him?!”
Was that my mother? She seems angry about something.
“Can I at least visit him?! And what about me?! Are you going to throw that bastard into jail?!”
…
…
More silence, I don’t like it. I need to wake up! I need to get out of here and go see that guy again, the one that saved me from my beating. SOMEBODY HELP?!

Somebody… Help… Please.
