The Day

Darkness....as I opened my eyes the first thing I noticed was darkness, and the only dim light was came from the moon. Grunting painfully I help myself to sit and resting my head in the big stone, panting heavily.

I heard noise near the place where I am. She's grunting like me earlier and I heard her whispering "Ca-lis-ta-.... A-at-e" when I heard my name being called I immediately know that she is Primus, my sister.

"Primus!! Stay there okay?! I'll be there, just hang on!" I replied. Even though my legs are not in a good condition, I slowly crawling to her.

With the help of light coming from the moon, I can see bruises and blood in Primus pretty face. Gone the stoic look of Primus. Seeing my sister in this state, nanikip dibdib ko. I feel like my world has been crumpled like a crumpled paper.

Napabalikwas ako ng bangon habang hinahabol ko ang aking paghinga. That nightmare again.... Bumangon na ako at uminom ng tubig nakalagay sa side table ng kama ko at tumingin sa orasan. When I saw the time, nanlaki ang mata ko, at dali dali tumakbo sa banyo para maligo. "shit!shit!shit! Today is the day, the fuck i almost forgot!" damn binilisan ko na lang ang pag ligo ko ng makarinig ako ng katok. "Ate, faster! We're getting late!" I heard Primus voice. "Wait up! I'm almost done bathing! I'm sorry alright, I almost forgot it!" I shouted.

After bathing, dali dali kong sinuot ang pares na rush guard na gagamitin ko mamaya sa pag su-surf. Pinatungan ko na lang ito ng malaking hoodie sa labas at sinuot ang sapatos ko. Paglakabas ko kinuha ko na rin ang surfing board na napanalunan ko last season dahil nanalo ako.

"Primus! Let's go" sabi ko nang makababa ako. Tiningnan niya muna ako at napailing "tara na, malalate ka na niyan. Here take this bento box and eat while we're heading there." tumango lang ako.

Sa amin dalawa mas parang ate pa siya kesa sa akin. Well I'm doing my best to be an ate to her,since she's siya na lang ang natira kong pamilya. I don't know where our other siblings are, either they're dead or alive. Hindi pa rin ako tumitigil kakahanap sa kanila. Pitong taon. Pitong taon na nakalipas ngunit hindi ako sumuko na hanapin sila.

Damn that tragedy, because of that fucking tragedy I lost my parents and siblings. I sighed heavily. Primus turned her head "ang lalim non ate Cali, okay ka lang ba?" tumango lang ako at binalingan ang bento box, at sinimulan kong kainin habang binabaybay namin ang daan papuntang beach kung saan gaganapin ang Surfing competition season 22.

Ngayon ang araw na inaasam asam ko at bukas si Primus. Primus is going to compete with other schools sa spoken poetry. In her entire senior high life, she always won when it comes to spoken poetry. While I, I'm always winning in surfing department.

When we reach our destination, I unbuckle my seat belt and went outside the car. This is......heaven, I closed my eyes and savouring the moment, breathing fresh air while facing the seashore. As I opened my eyes, primus is now walking towards me. I smiled at her "Thank you, Prim" I said she just smile at me and nod.

Habang naglalakad, pansin ko balisa ang kasama ko, kumunot ang noo ko at hinarap siya "may problema ba? You seemed tense" she look at me "may nararamdaman ako cali, parang may something to happen" I hold her hand and squeeze it. "Stop worrying, we're safe. Maraming tao rito" saad ko. "That's it ate, there's a lot of people here, and we're not one of them. What if something will happen to you, to us?" she worriedly looking at me while saying those words. I sighed "They won't notice that, we're wearing contact lenses after all. And you have glasses too so, they won't see or know that we're vampire hmm?" she nod. Yes we have red blood eyes and we have fangs but we hide those with contact lenses and glasses. Ang pangil namin lumalabas lang kapag galit tho we have still fangs so what, its not noticeable, as if I let them hurt us...again.
