Alyssa POV
It was around 5 am I could tell by the sun as it was not awake yet it was my job as the heir to Avalon to make sure everything was in check even when I did not want to cause as I was not a morning person but duty calls I managed my way out of bed and wore my rob this rob was a silk robe in green and black laced sleeves. I step out of my room not to see anyone other than our guards. I liked spending this time alone in the morning. It was calming to get away before the havoc of the day would start.
I told one of the servants to get me tea. They do as told while I stroll down the dimly lit hallway to the terrace. It was amazing seeing the sunrise every morning. it drew me every day I wanted to work harder just from seeing it cause I saw my little sister in it god I missed Lilly I sighed after this hour passed I hurried to my room because in less than half an hour I had to go for training as the future ruler I not only had to defend my kingdom but myself as well.
I went to take a shower and get ready I had to practice my skills of fighting in a dress cause for all I knew this could be my last ball if I would let it narsmia hated us and even if narsmia didn't hate me I knew for a fact Arson did that worthless asshole I hated him so much he made my blood boil. Our kingdoms never really got along; it was a generation of hatred. As soon as I finished getting ready for fighting practice I hear a knock on the door "come in'' I say
it was Marcus he was my trainer's husband "Alyssa James is waiting for you in the training zone your late!" he said "oh Marcus I'm never late everyone is just simply early"hen smile and run out of the door "looks like your gonna be the late one now" Marcus too ran after me.
As I was running I didn't realize and bumped up into someone and fell on the floor I squeezed my eyes shut hoping it wasn't who I thought "well hello lyss dear..." ah yes I would know that voice anywhere "would you like to tell me why your running around the castle and not at practice" this was my mother the queen of Avalon
as I get up I say "good morning to you to mother" and smile right as I said to say this from the corner of my eye I see Marcus rounding the corner "to your question I'm on my way right now so see you" after these words leave my mouth I ran away
I reached the training area "finally you were 20 mins late" said James "I'm sorry I won't be late anymore don't worry" I say "lyss you said that for the past 3 months oh heavens that will I do with you" he says "well you train me isn't that your job" I say jokingly
Then Marcus comes in painting "God why do you run so fast" "darling at least it means our training is working plus that's payback for not doing your morning work well as fun as this is lyss we need to practice I hope you have your dagger on you" he said and started to attack me.
he got his nunchucks out and spun them I did a cartwheel back and grabbed my dagger he came after me I lunged forward my back foot comes and hits the side of James's stomach before he could react I pushed him back with my shoulder and at this point, he stumbled and got back up he used his nunchucks and swiftly tried hitting my neck I did an arc back and with my foot made him fall as soon as he fell I stepped on his hand which made him realize the nunchucks this was the time i used my dagger and pinned it to his neck while i was towering over him and say "I'm always ready old man" he chuckles and I give him my hand to get up we train some more until we heard...
"ALYSSA!" it was Jennaline, she is my soon-to-be royal advisor "hey Jenna How was meeting the Lockwood's?" I ask her "it was great they offered to do trades with Avalon!" that sounds wonderful we shall set a meeting soon"
"Excuse me, did you forget you are in training Alyssa? and you to Jenna she is busy," says James "no offense James but she destroyed you and we both know that and she's the greatest fighter in the 15 kingdoms we all know that well her and that dumbass Arson." she says
"ugh Jenna do not even bother bringing up his name i would not want your mouth to stink" i say then a servant comes to tell us that we had a ball fitting and other things that are needed i had near forgotten that in 3 days i said by to my 3 friends and walked to the fitting room.
we had to go to Narscima ugh that horrible kingdom but i couldn't wait to be the best kingdom there and rub it in arson face he was too chicken to come in the last 2 balls the "ball" was a meeting of the future generations with no queens or kings just the heir only one person from each kingdom comes with there future 2nd in commands so I and Jenna were going. It held for 4 days and 3 nights it was just a cheap way to show your kingdom's talents and what you offer as an ally
Then all of a sudden as I was walking down the hallway I heard this
"ELENOR ALYSSA MIDNIGHT!"
I instantly knew it couldn't be good...
