"Stop!"
That was either Ethan or Corner. I laughed as I heard their thumping footsteps racing behind me. There is nothing like an early morning run to pump adrenaline.
That was my normal morning. And you might wonder, why would a group of seniors chase a sophomore like me, an innocent, innocent girl like me.
Okay, so five minutes earlier. . .
My best friend, Tatiana Milker, and I held our trays of breakfast close to our chests making our way through the cafeteria.
"You know what'll be cool?" I had asked, an idea popping into mind.
Tatiana shook her head vigorously, her blonde ponytails swinging into her face, "No no no. Dani don't do anything please."
Her eyes were large and round as she pleaded. Leave it to Tatiana to be a drama queen."Oh calm your ass down." My eyes roamed the cafeteria before landing on the jock table.
The senior football players and cheerleaders were around the table, laughing obnoxiously and making a hell of a ruckus.
"Watch this." I whispered to Tatiana. I stole her carton of milk and balanced my tray on hers. With her milk carton and mine clutched in my hands I sauntered over to their table.
"Hey guys." I greeted cheerily as I stood behind Ethan and Corner.
"Yo Comer!" They hollered and I laughed in response.
They went back to their conversation and I untwisted the caps of the milk cartons in my hand. Ethan was mid sentence when I poured the contents of the carton unto his and Comer's back.
Everyone on the table gasped before erupting into hollers of laughter, joining me.
Ethan and Corner didn't find it funny though exactly why they were chasing me now.
I dashed through the hallway and out the large wooden doors of the school.
"Stop running Comer!" Ethan hollered.
I laughed maniacally, "Run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm Dani Co-!"
I bumped into the hardest wall ever. The force sent me backwards making me land on my butt.
I swear, that wall was made of the hardest concrete known to man.
"Are you okay?"
And...the wall gave me a concussion, since when did walls talk?
I squinted and looked up at the six foot not-wall before me.
The sun was right behind him and I had to shut my eyes again.I heard steps behind me till they stopped. Loud pants followed until I heard, "Yo Calvary."
Oh Calvary, Peter Calvary. He was practically one of the 'hottest boy in school', school girls' words not mine. He was actually pretty fine. He was the 'dirty blonde hair, baby blue ocean eyes and pink lips' guy. He was like some cliché teenage romance protagonist.
I lifted myself from the ground and steadied myself. Ethan and Comer had caught up with me, finally. They were pretty slow for footballers.
"What's up? Chasing lil C again?" Peter ruffled my hair and I brushed his hand off.
"Lil C? That's dumb." I said, straightening my hair.
"Yeah." Ethan responded, giving me the stink eye.
"What did she do this time?" Peter asked pushing his hands into his jacket's pocket.
"She poured milk all over us." Corner explained as Ethan turned to show Peter his wet back.
