There is a scowl on Nova's lips as she sits slumped in a chair in the corner of Sheriff Stilinski's office.

It has been about a week since Nova had been deceived at Lydia Martin's so-called lake house party, which, in an ironic turn of events, ended up becoming an actual party. Not that Nova would know if it was any good, though—she spent the entire time sulking in her car. Sue her. And now she's here, unwillingly, listening to Dumb and Dumber tell Stilinski about all the killings that have been happening around town. Why? The fuck if she knows. She's still mad at them. (But maybe she's a tiny bit curious about what they've found...)

"So, the Walcott's were the first—at least, the first that we know about," Stiles says. "Four murders. Sean, his brother, and their parents. They were killed by a professional assassin called The Mute. Weapon of choice, a military tomahawk."

Nova finally looks up from where she had been picking at her nail polish. "Wait, that's who attacked and tried to kill Peter."

Stiles snaps his finger at her. She scowls at him. He says, "Bingo. The Mute was then killed by Peter Hale after he tried to blow up Derek with a Claymore mine. Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Lydia's lake house and got decapitated outside his car." Stiles steals a look over at Nova, who avoids eye contact with him. She had been sitting in her car at the time, but she hadn't heard any screams or anything that might have indicated someone was in trouble. If she had, she would have gone over to help them (...right?). Stiles continues, "And then last night, twenty-three year old Carrie Hudson."

Scott unfolds a piece of paper from his pocket and lays it out on the desk. "It's a deadpool. A list of supernatural creatures. This is only part of it. The rest still has to be decoded—Lydia's been trying to figure it out all weekend."
