Hand in hand they ran. Their fingertips brushing against the long grass and big dandelions. They ran until their feet were sore and bruised. They ran until their breaths were a beat behind. They ran until the sun peaked through the horizon.

Both smiling they ran. The slight breeze, brushing their hair back away from their faces. They didn't need to say words at that moment. All they needed was each other's company. Their hand, you could say.

They ran for what seemed like hours. It was only until they stopped when they held each other in their arms. Laying in the grass and watched as the moon slowly disappeared and the sun rose. A single tear would find its way to one of their cheeks. Neither of them knew if it was happy or sad but it didn't matter.

They would wrap themselves in the arms of the other and slowly fall into a calm, happy sleep. The only sound was the soft hum of the crickets and birds that surrounded them. They slept in the arms of one another, peaceful and in love.
