Sami opened his mouth to agree but then thought about the words that Thatcher said. "Wait, What?"

Thatcher blinks. "Was that not what you were thinking?"

"Uh.. no? That would be a disaster."

"Hm. Fine. Do what you want. In the meantime, I'll be silently undermining whatever plan you have and stealing (y/n) away."

Sami sighs and shakes his head, leaving the room and going back to the kitchen. He was stressed out now and started stress cooking.

Max woke up from his little nap but didn't move. He just stayed there, enjoying her presence. Underneath the desk, his tail swayed back and forth happily, his lips curling up into the tiniest smile.

He heard (Y/n) sigh and the clicking of her mouse stopped. She leaned back in the chair, stretching out her arms and back.

It took everything he had to not flinch whenever she placed a hand in his hair.

"Hm.. maybe I should wake up him," she mumbled to herself.

She started running her fingers through his hair and, to his dismay, he started purring. His cheeks turned pink as she started giggling softly.

"Aw," she brushes the hair back from his forehead. "He's so cute.."

Max reeled back, hitting his head on the table. "Ow!- I-I'm not cute!!" His eyebrows were furrowed in an intimidating glare, but all terrifying factors were removed due to the fact that he was blushing madly.

(Y/n) sweat drops. "Oh.. you were awake.."

"Tch! Whatever," he grumbles, grabbing his blankets and crawling out from underneath the desk. "I'm out." He storms out, slamming the door behind him and going back to where his futon was located.

Once he reaches the laundry room, he falls face first into his futon and covers his face with the pillow. He felt so stupid for reacting that way.

Still holding the pillow to his face, he rolled around in frustration before stopping on his back and pushing the pillow aside. "I'm so stupid," he mumbles, his cheeks still pink.

Spencer, accompanied by Wesley, ran into the kitchen with wildflowers bunched together in both hands (minus Spencer, one of his hands was holding his stuffed animal).

Sami smiles at them and pats both their heads. "What are all those for?" He asks, turning the stove down so the food didn't burn.

Wesley grins widely and holds both his hands out. "(Y/n)!"

Spencer copies him. "Yeah!"

Sami chuckles at how adorable they were. "You should put them in a vase," he says, reaching into the cupboards and pulling out a glass vase. "Here."

"Yay," Wesley says softly.

"Pretty things for (Y/n)!" Spencer giggles, hugging his plushie to his chest.

Sami helps the two put the flowers into the vase and hands it to Wesley. "Here you go."

Wesley beams. "Thank you."

Spencer hugs Sami around the waist and then runs off, Wesley following after him.

Sami chuckles to himself again. They were too adorable for their own good. He turned around and resumed cooking, now with a smile on his face.
