"K, please come to room 187 on the 12th floor," I heard a loud voice say over the intercom, interrupting the room full of letters. I get up curious about what was happening in room 187. While walking to the room number I hear the loud intercom say; "Z, please come to 187 on the 12th floor," I pause for a second knowing I despise Z. I see her get up across the room practically yelling at the intercom about how she doesn't want to be a part of their fucked up discussion or something. We both make our way up to the room, me ahead of Z. She keeps glancing at me.

We finally made it up to the meeting room, to be honest, that was the longest walk I've ever taken. The room was white marble with gold accents and occasional silver or bronze. The ceiling was made from chiseled wood that made up a beautiful centerpiece of the room.

Along with a black granite table, golden chandelier, and 8 leather chairs surrounding it.

I could sense Z glaring at me the entire walk, she seemed like the type to try and kill me on sight if the colors weren't in front of us of course. I don't completely blame her, I'm in a higher position after all.

We both walk into the room seeing 2 middle-aged men and a woman staring at both of us from their seats. We both sat down on the leather chairs surrounding the giant meeting table in front of us.

The older man that went by the name Gold. He was sitting on the other end of the long sleek table. The man cleared his throat. Z and I diverted your attention to him almost immediately. To be honest I was worried about what he was going to say, for all I knew I could be executed in the next hour.

"I called you both here for a rather important purpose. We have assigned you both a job, the two of you will work together to put down a competitor. If you refuse, or so much as fail, there will be consequences."

I thought for a second dreading the idea of having to work with Z. Gold then interrupted the thought. "What you two need to do is make an appointment with an employee at the opposing hospital, book them for one of you. When they come, you tell them all of the rules, their number, where their dorm is, and most definitely, don't let them leave under any circumstances. You shall be executed and replaced if you fail to follow these instructions." Gold briefed, with the woman who I assume to be Silver nodding along. I thought to myself once again about Z.

Z and I both Got up from our chairs and left the room obviously dreading the task.

As soon as we both close the door behind us Z pipes up. "You make the appointment and I'll explain and enforce the rules, got it?". I agree without much of a second thought. I had to admit it wasn't a bad plan, of course, I wouldn't tell that to her face.

Z had always been good at being passive-aggressive when it came to making people listen to her. On one hand, you were kind of pissed it had worked on you, on the other hand, it was good with persuasion, and you could both use it to complete the task.

"Ok, I'll make the appointment now and tell you when the patient gets here," I say, trying to sound as confident as possible, hoping to show Z I know what I'm doing.

"Yeah, yeah whatever," Z replies with an unbarring attitude.

We both head back to our rather small cubicles and get back to our usual flow of work.

I dialed the number that was attached to an email from Silver. MHI had custom-made phones for their employees so no one could reach the outside world, and vice-versa.

Your phone starts to ring after a minute, It actually goes on for quite a while before someone picks up, "Hello this is M.H.D, how may I help you today," I hear a lady say on the other end of the phone and internally roll my eyes. M.H.D was practically mocking us at this point, "Hi this is K from another mental hospital and I want to schedule an appointment with you," " Uh, I don't really need anything like that, I assure you my mental health is perfectly fine. I am at the moment completely sane and happy. If you want to though I can schedule an appointment for you," The lady said trying to switch sides. I grit my teeth. " What is your name dear," I ask, trying to make conversation. "Uh my friends call me Becca," she began sounding rushed. While you roll your eyes at the thought of actually caring about this lowlife. "Ok well, I'm going to make you an appointment Becca, what is your email so I can email you the details," I demand trying to sound forceful. "Oh uh [Bca@M.H.D]" "Thanks I guess, but if I do go through with this I need to know how much I'm being charged, and the form of payment," She stuttered nervously knowing this isn't going according to plan. "Alright, does tomorrow sound good for you?" I ask demandingly. "Oh uh not-" I interrupt by saying "Ok tomorrow at 5:30 pm sharp, be there,". I put the email into the computer and send all the information about the appointment. I soon got an email back agreeing with all the information.

I then dial Z's phone number. After around 6 rings I hear the voice say " What the hell do you want,". I answer with a sigh "Oh it's you," I wince at how disappointed she sounds. "Yep," I answer "I'll send you all the information if you give me your email," "Sure whatever," She snapped, with her email coming right after, along with the beep sound of her hanging up.

I type the email on the computer and send all the information after double-checking it was Z.

After the day was over I head back to my dorm. As soon as I enter my dorm I hear a knock at the door, I answer it curious on who it was. As soon as I open the door I see Z standing there with her usual annoyed expression. " Uh hi?" I say giving Z a confused look. " Don't get any ideas, I'm here to go over the plan," she replies walking into my condo without another word. plan in enough detail. Afterward, Z heads back to her dorm for the night.

( Becca's pov)

I wake up the next morning and get ready for a day full of work. As soon as I enter M.H.D a reminder goes off on my phone reminding me of the appointment I have at M.H.I. I sighed and left the work building.
