Hello Readers! It has been so long and I sincerely apologize for taking a year and a half to upload a part. With the writer's block, the busy schedule, and my forgetfulness, it took a lot to get this one chapter done. Hopefully you guys don't hate me too much. I would apologize a million more times but then you wouldn't get to the story.

Note: This chapter hasn't been editied so there may be some spelling/grammatical errors. Sorry in advance. :)

Chapter 7 (Tristans POV)

“Why isn’t she here yet? I sent the car to get her 45 minutes ago?” I yelled, obviously doing a poor job of hiding my frustration.

“Relax Tristan, she’ll be here eventually. You know how girls are. She probably had to finish doing her makeup or something like that,” Alex said.

I honestly didn’t know why he was still here. I was pretty sure I had kicked him out about an hour ago.

“Look you’re really not helping. If you’re not going to go home, make yourself useful and keep an eye out for her,” I said, motioning him to the large, curtained window.

Alex let out a small laugh, but did as he was told and peeked around the curtains to look outside.

“I hope you know you’re insane. Do your parents even know your having her over here? I’m sure they would not approve of you having a girl at the house so early in the search.” I knew he was only trying to anger me more and I decided to ignore him, focusing my attention on the window.

Truth is, my parents have no idea Jamie’s coming over tonight, but what they don’t know won’t hurt them.  Besides, Mother was at some charity dinner and Father was at an undisclosed location signing papers. Both would be out all evening and I’m sure the last thing they cared about was if I broke a couple rules.

“Excuse me your highness,” a servant whose name I couldn’t remember panted as he ran into the room. “Miss Jamie has arrived and is waiting for you in the main foyer.”

Beads of sweat were dripping down his thin and worn out face and I was happy knowing that he had rushed here to deliver the news.

“Thank you. Why don’t you take the rest of the night off? There are plenty of other servants on duty right now.” His baggy and seemingly lifeless eyes dance with happiness as I spoke to him. It was truly amazing that just a few hours off had made him so happy. Unsure of how to respond, I just smiled as the man began to shake with excitement.

“Oh yes your highness. Thank you your highness,” he stammered, bowing at least a dozen times before exiting the room.

Realizing that I was keeping Jamie waiting, I exited the room and started descending down the never-ending spiral staircase. I stumbled down each step in a daze, thoughts of Jamie never leaving my mind. I was normally not one who got nervous when it came to girls but as I got closer and closer to the foyer, I don’t think I could’ve been more anxious.

Upon reaching the bottom of the staircase, a symphonic laugh filled my ears. Not bothering to waste another moment, I pushed myself to quicken my pace even more. As I got closer to Jamie, my heart began beating faster, triggering a million thoughts in my mind.

Is she happy to be here right now? Is she excited to see me? Of course she is. Why wouldnt she be? No one has ever been turned down a chance to be with me. But what if Im being too obvious about how I feel? Could that be pushing her away? Get it together Tristan you’re a prince for fuck’s sake, not some insecure sissy whose never laid eyes on a woman before.
