Day 1- Challenge: Getting Lost Somewhere ~ Start!!

Third Person PoV ~

Nightmare had absolutely no idea how he got to... wherever he was. He was currently in a snowy forest that seemed to go on forever. He also had no idea what that strangely female voice meant by 'Challenge: Getting Lost Somewhere ~ Start!!'. He bad never heard that voice in his life.

Was he going crazy already? No... that's impossible. He was alone for 300 years in an AU where he had killed everyone, almost including his own brother and he didn't go insane then. It was extremely unlikely that five hours alone in some random, stupid AU would make him go crazy that fast.

He had been wandering around the place since he got there. Which was when he woke up. Yeah he literally just woke up here

Anyways!- he was getting colder by the second. He climbed a tree with a large hole in it but a thick trunk, and climbed into the hole, using his tentacles as blankets. It helped a bit.

The terrible thoughts came, telling him how weak he was for having to do this. He tried ignoring them, but instead just listened to them humiliating him.

Blue trudged through the forest, his arms and legs feeling as if they would fall off because of how cold be was. He literally had shorts on. And short sleeves! At least he had gloves and boots, though. And his little scarf kept the bottom of his face warm, whereas the rest of his skull was starting to hurt from the cold as well.

Blue had just randomly woken up here. He didn't even know where 'here' was! He was scared and cold and lonely. He hadn't seen a single person the entire time. He suddenly saw a tree, and noticed a hole in it. He started climbing up the tree when he slipped and fell. He cried out in pain as he night his. Head on the cold frozen ground. He just wanted someone... Anyone... Even him...

Nightmare grumbled in annoyance. He didn't even know what the deal that sound was that he had heard. He peeked his head Doug of the hole in the  tree, and to his surprise, he saw one of the Star Senses.

Crap. this was not what he needed right now. One of the stupid stAr saNSeS. Nightmare scoffed at their name. But this one was alone. He believed he remembered this one's name being Blue. He sighed and mentally slapped himself for being so weak. But it soft of looked like Blue was in the same situation as he was.

He climbed down the tree to the fallen over, crying skeleton, and picked him up with one of his black, goopy tentacles, making sure to cover his mouth for any annoying screams that might come out.

When they got to the top of the tree, Nightmare sat against one of the sides. He sighed, seeing the terrified little skeleton still wrapped up in one of his tentacles. Nightmare slowly unraveled the tentacle, keeping one on both of his legs.

Before Blue got the chance to say or do anything, Nightmare spoke. "Don't you dare go telling the other Stars where I'm at. Now, why are you here?" He demanded his voice strict and orderly.

"I-I don't know!!! I-I just woke up here!! I swear! I dunno where an anyone else is!!" Blue sobbed.

Strangely enough, Nightmare felt like he was telling the truth. He sighed. The wind suddenly picked up, and the tree they were in swayed a bit. There was a giant crack from somewhere outside of their tree, and Nightmare got ready for anything.

When he realized he felt... warmer. He looked to his side, and there sat a shivering Blueberry.

"...what the hell do you think you're doing?" Nightmare asked menacingly.

Blue looked up at him with fear in his eyes. "I-I'm sorry, I-I'm just really cold..."

"Well yeah I can feel that." Nightmare snarled.

He didn't remove Blue from his side, though. The close proximity was nice. Nightmare sighed, scolding himself once again for being this weak. He used a tentacle to bring Blue closer to him, but not close enough that they were touching. What was wrong with him?!

Blue looked at him, shocked, but didn't say anything, afraid that Nightmare would move away and Blue would get really cold again.

"...thank you for helping me up here-"

"I did not help YOU! I just wanted to make sure no other Star Sanses saw where I was since you could see my goop on the tree!! I helped NO ONE!" He said, getting onto his feet to show how strongly he felt about this.

Blue started shaking again, from the cold and from fear. He usually wasn't the one who fought Nightmare, that was Dream's job. And he'd seen Nightmare angry before, but now they were alone. Nightmare could literally do anything to him. He could kill Blue and no one would even know.

"I-I'm sorry! I-I was just trying t-to thank you! I w-was trying to b-be nice..!" Blue stuttered, getting into fatal position and hiding his face in his knees.

Nightmare realized he had overreacted. He felt like he should apologize. Wait, WHAT?! He apologizes to NO ONE! Why was he think these things and acting like this?!

Nightmare snapped out of his thoughts when he started hearing teeth chattering and quiet sobs. He sighed again and walked slowly over to Blue. He then picked Blue up with one of his tentacles and picked him up, sitting down where Blue had been sitting. Then he put Blue down next to him, and used his tentacles as a blanket for the both of them.

"Say a WORD about this to ANYONE, and I'll dust your soul in a matter of seconds. Understand me?" Nightmare threatened.

Blue sniffled and nodded his head. "O-okay..."

They were silent after that.

Nightmare felt Blue's body go limp, signifying that he had fallen asleep. Nightmare sure as hell wouldn't be sleeping tonight. He sighed. This was so weird.

Suddenly Nightmare felt a weight on his shoulder. He looked over. Blue's head was resting on Nightmare's shoulder. Nightmare didn't move. Like when a cat rests their head on your knee, and you were permitted to no longer move as long as the cat was there. Blue then positioned himself so that he was hugging Nightmare's arm. Then Blueberry smiled. He was comfortable there.
