"Don't remind me." I said under my breath as I threw the note away in the kitchen and decided to go upstairs to find myself an outfit to wear to this party. I kept searching through my closet and I couldn't find anything that met my expectations.Suddenly, the perfect outfit clicked into my head.
Once I found what I wanted, I slipped on dress and smoothed it out as I looked into the mirror. I made a light makeup beat on my face and decided to post a pic of the look on instagram.

After I took a picture, i decided to check on my siblings before I left. I walked to my brother's bedroom door and banged on it until he opened the door with headphones on his head.
"G what the hell you want, I'm tryna play Persona 5 with gang n nem." He raised his eyebrow and looked me up and down with what I had on.
"Aight damn nigga, I was just telling you I was gon' head out..."
"Aht aht aht, not so fast! You going to a party?"
"Yeah..."
"Can I come?"
"Boy you betta watch Monique and play your game. I'm not babysitting you."
He sucked his teeth. "Please Lae Lae, I don't even go out like that. It'll be my first house party."
I pondered with what he said. Ever since his best friend, Tyrese, was killed by police last summer, he doesn't really hang out with people much anymore.Maybe this would be a good opportunity for him to spend time outside of his gamer friends...
"Okay fine. But who gon' babysit Monique?"
"Just call Ms. Jones across the street. I'm sure she'll do it; she loves you."
