MARE GHOUL JUST WANTED TO BE DEAD AGAIN.
You see, Mare died in the battle of Manhattan, quite heroically. She was killed after taking a knife for Travis Stoll, she had a very intense crush on him at the time, and just when she thought she'd finally have some time to relax in Elysium, maybe even meet her mother, she was resurrected because apparently she had a major part in a soon-to-be prophecy. Seriously? Not even as a dead girl can Mare find peace.
Now she's a dead girl walking, forced to count down the days until she's roped into another war that she could just end her life for the second time. At least she was claimed by her mother, apparently her being a ghost was enough for Melinoë to finally announce to the world that she had her first ever Demi-God child.
Mare thinks that maybe will get some time to relax, work on her powers and maybe even take a vacation before the entire world goes to shit. But like every time before, Mare hope quickly fades away and her relaxation time is once again cut short.
Instead of a vacation, Mare is dragged on her first ever quest and forced to babysit three new Half Bloods as they journey on their way to save the Queen of the Heavens, as well as beginning the prophecy that stopped Mare from permanently dying at fifteen years old.
Mare is seriously tired of all this demi-god drama, she had once been so excited to have this family, have magical powers and finally mean something but now if it meant she'd have a moment of peace, she'd rather be dead! dead! dead!
