I stand frozen, unsure of the amount of time that passes before I'm broken out of it by Lily's loud cry as she falls to the ground. Ivy is quick to snatch her up, covering her mouth. I grab Rose, the four of us race back to Ivy's bedroom as quick as possible.

The girls are placed on the floor as Ivy tries her best to console Lily. I leave her with the girls and creep my way to the door.

"Dove!" Ivy hisses. I'm unsure if Sage told Ivy I'm from Class or if she just picked it up on her own, but she knows the truth about where I'm from and it feels good to have another person on my side.

"It's okay, I'm just going to listen" I reassure her. I open the door and stick my head out; their voices can still be heard from downstairs.

"Be careful" Ivy says as I shut the door behind me, Lily's cries quieting.

I sneak my way back to the top of the staircase and peak my head around the corner. They're in the dining room, no doubt sat at the table. I hear Sir Walter and Serge talking, their voices getting louder, competing against one another. Sage's back faces me as he stands around the table along with every other man in the house, his hands folded behind his back in an intimidating stance.

"What're you doing here, Walter?" Serge's voice thunders throughout the house, clearly unhappy with the unexpected visit.

"Just came to see how you're doing on the other side of the fence" Sir Walter chuckles, it sends shivers down my back.

"Everything's fine, now fuck off" Serge grunts back. There's a moment of silence before Sir Walter clears his throat and hums suspiciously.

"I see you've done some work on this shit hole" he says. I watch Sage's back as he stands tall and unmoving, his intertwined hands clenched behind his back. I spot the bulge that hides beneath his shirt in his waist band, the gun shocking me; I'd never seen him with it before. Gabe stands next to him in the same stance.

"What do you want, Walter?" Serge asks with a sigh, ignoring Sir Walters previous statement.

I hear a chuckle, although it's not from Sir Walter.

"We had a little problem go missing" the voice is Jace. An audible gasp escapes my mouth and I slide down the wall so that I'm crouched to the floor and can see into the dining room through the staircase railings.

I only notice Sage turn his head slightly in my direction because I'm keeping a close eye on him but it becomes known to me that he knows I'm here and that I had heard everything.

"Shut the fuck up, Jace" his father sneers. Sir Walter sits at one end of the table; his men stand close behind him, including Jace, Dad and Max. Serge is at the other end of the table while Sage and his men surround the whole room.

"What's fucking missing?" Serge growls over the top of Sir Walter and Jace's bickering. I watch as Sage's back becomes impossible tighter, knowing what's about to come.

"The future princess of Class" Sir Walter says. I breathe a sigh of relief that he hadn't mentioned my name although the nickname made me feel physically ill.

"Why should I give a fuck?" Serge says as he leans back in his chair, he still hadn't made the connection.

I see Sage glance over his shoulder, his eyes making hard contact with mine and then quickly glancing back. He grabs the gun from under his shirt and holds it in his hands behind his back, preparing for things to get out of control.

"Dove!" Ivy whispers behind me, she stands at her bedroom door leaning out of it and waving a hand to urge me back to her room. I shake my head at her and tune back into the conversation downstairs.
