I slightly open my eyes to a bright light.My eyes felt like they were on fire,My head hurting like crazy,My jaw felt like it was closed shut,My body numb,My ears were ringing,My nose stuffed with tubes going in and out,and My mouth being so dry.I am so thristy."Water""I...need...water"I said barely even opening my mouth.A nurse came in.She wasn't like any other regular nurse.She was half gazelle and half human.She had dark brown eyes,short light brown hair,and long dark horns on her head.She walked closer to me and said"You're finally awake.Good, we will take you to the testing room where your friend is waiting at."

She took me and I saw Greg siting in a chair and looking down at the floor.He then looked up and we both saw each other "Ava!You're okay"He said quickly standing up beside me"I see you are also okay.Much better than me"I say as Greg smiles,even with the big cuts and scars on his face"You two will both wait here until Mr.Duncan comes and tests you both"She says then leaves.
I moved my statue like legs to the ground.I stood up for a second then I came falling down."You okay?"Greg says catching me"Yeah I'm fine"I say standing back up"How long have you been waiting for?"I say"3 hours"He says tiredly"How long was I out for?"
"6 hours"He says"This all my fault.I should've listen to you,that lady was acting suspicious and now the vechile is crashed somewhere on a planet we don't know"
"Well after we get out of here we can figure out where we are at and then leave with the car"Greg says optimistically"I guess"I say"I gotta ask.What even happened after the crash?"I ask"Well I woke up and we were stuck and I was too weak to get both of us outta there so I waited for help.An hour passes by and a guy saw us and he took us in his truck.It took an hour to get there and then we had to wait for another hour,but eventally they helped us and here we are now"He says"And you were awake through all that?"
"I think"He said as I sat next beside him
"Well you can go asleep for now while we wait.I'll stay awake this time"I said smiling"Alright"He said putting his head back and closing his eyes.

An hour had past and greg was asleep."Hello you two"The doctor said as he came in the room"What are your names?"He says as I shoved greg in the side with my elbow to wake him up from his slumber"My name Is Ava King"
"And how about you sir?"
"My name is Greg Seth"Greg says tiredly as the doctor has a certain look on his face but then it vanishes immediately."Well I'm Mr.Duncan,I will be doing a quick test on the both of you"
"What is the test for?"I say
"This test is given to people who new or a tourist to our small town.It's just for saftey reasons.So you ready to get started?"He says"Sure"I say"Alrighty let me call the nurse over and then we could get started"He says as he walks over to his desk and picks up the phone.
"Are you okay greg?"I say"Yeah I'm fine"He says rubbing his eyes as Mr.Duncan intrupts us"So while we wait,where were you two going?"
"Well we were going to...visit my mom"I said"So are you two relatives?"
"No,we are not"
"Oh,well are you two friends?"
"Uh...well I barely met him yesterday,so no?
"So are you two dating?"
"Um,no"
"I am vey confused"
"Me too.All I can say it's complicated"I say as hybrid nurse comes in."This is Ms.Grant who will be helping me out today"
"Hello again"She says smiling at me and greg"Ms.Grant,can you please get the bandages while I get the needle"
"Yes sir"She says as she walks over to a tiny drawer and Mr.Duncan walks over to a cabinet and grabs a needle"I will have to draw a little bit of your blood.If you are scared do not look down at the needle just look at me"He says as I nod my head.
He puts the needle in my arm and I look at him.I don't know how I didn't notice but he was also a hybrid just like the nurse,except he's half duck,half man.He had white feathers on top of his head,yellow feet,and some feathers in the back with his light blue eyes behind circular glasses and his light blond white hair."All done.You did great Ava"He smiles as I look down and see the bandage on my arm as I look over to my side and see that the hybrid nurse put a different needle in greg's arm.They finsh up with greg and put the two needles in a see through small box"We will take these and go test them.Ms.Grant will take these two outside and if you two don't meet our saftey standards then an officer will come get you and bring you back here to us"
"Ok"
"Oh also,Ms.Grant will give their clothes back to change in"He says as he leaves and Ms.Grant walks towards a tall cabinet and grabs our clothes that are folded."Here you go.The bathrooms are up the hallway to the right"
"Okay thank you.Cone on Greg"I say as greg stands up"Oh no he doesn't need to go with you,I'll stay with him.I need to talk to him anyways"
"Oh ok.I will be back Greg"I say as greg sits back down and I walk off towards the bathroom.
