Lenas POV

Stupid stupid stupid stupid. Why does that damn blonde have to be so cute?! My usual frown deepens as I stare at the blonde girl across the cafeteria. I shouldn't be catching feelings for women. Im a Luthor, I have to be perfect. I know that attraction to the same gender isn't unnatural, it's just not considered normal. Not considered perfect. If mother ever found out she'd kill me.

"You alright Lena?" Veronica, one of my closest friends–only due to family connection–asks as soon as she notices my expression, "Did that blonde bother you?"

"No." Yes. She's too damn attractive.

"Then why are you staring at her?" Andrea probes.

"I wasn't staring at her. I just spaced out and she was in the general direction. It was purely coincidence." I easily lie my way out of it. Far too many years of practice.

"Hey check it out, it looks like lonely boy finally found some friends." Veronica pipes up quietly changing the topic.

I look in the general direction Veronica is, and sure enough Kamden Danvers is sitting with a group of people. You could tell he's nervous. My guess is that he only knows one of those people. Probably felt sorry for him and invited him to eat with their friends.

"Not just one friend a group of friends." Andrea muses, "Looks like the perfect opportunity to humiliate him."

"Let him be." I find myself saying. A girl–brunette, kinda cute, not that it matters of course–looks like she's talking about something serious and I wouldn't want to interrupt, "Let him have a false sense of comfort for a few more minutes."

"Spoken like a true Luthor." Veronica smirks leaning back in her chair.

I mange to hold off the wolves for a few more minutes before they grow to impatient to make fun of him. I opt for throwing grapes at the back of his head instead. He's not worth getting up for.

Ks POV

Nia and I had been googling different names behind Elizas back. I want it to be unique but still start with a K. Apparently it's a lot harder than it looks. We had only found basic ones like Katie and Katlyn.

"Why not just settle on Katie. I think it'll suit you." Nia said after hour three of scrolling through names.
"But that's so basic!" I complain falling back on my bed, "It needs to be special!"

"Well we aren't getting anywhere with google so it's time to use our brains. Just give me letters you like and we'll go from there."

"Um well I obviously want it to start with K."

"That ones a given." Nia agrees grabbing one of her notebooks and writing it down.

"Well it needs vowels. So an A?"

"Alright, so a K and an A." Nia mumbles scribbling it down, "I'm gonna put an R down."

"R? Why R?" I tilt my head slightly, "That's so random."

Nia shrugs, "I like the letter and I've put three hours of my time into this."

"Okay so we have Kar so far."

"Kar sounds kinda cool!" Nia smiles perking up a bit.

"But it sounds like car..."

"Then we can just... add another A?"

"So Kara?"

"Yeah! That sounds unique right? Plus I can call you Kar as a nickname."

"I suppose you have a point..."
