"Leoanna."

Anthony had opened his mouth but was interrupted by his father. I turned away from the body to face Maxwell. He wore his usually cold expression before it melted away to a small smile.

"Thank you, I am happy you were here if not...I don't know what could have happened."

Words couldn't come out so I simply bowed my head in return. He placed a hand on my shoulder. "The first kill is always the rough one. Try taking some time off with training."

He moved back from me before shouting for everyone to move out. All the guards followed behind him closely. Derek was talking with him and remaining cautious.

"He's right you know." My eyes moved over to Anthony who was now looking away from me.

"The first kill is always the worse, I know from experience. We were trained with no mercy from a young age.

I've got demons and blood on my hands, buckets full." He still had a positive expression with the smallest of smiles on it.

"Are you trying to comfort me?" Anthony's tiny smile disappeared.

"Nope, I don't give a fuck about how you feel right now.

I'm just thankful so that is enough." I glared at him and walked to the exit ignoring him completely.  Bipolar much? The drive back was much worse. Mr. Rivers and Derek were discussing the plan to take down the rest of the gang.

There was mention of re-locating some operations along with small arguments. I just wanted to take a bath and go to sleep because something is wrong with me, I felt no guilt, no bad emotion at all.

"You good? You've been acting weird." I nodded to Condé.

"Just a rough night." He smiled at me and held out a bag of Skittles.

"Will sugar help wake your ass up?" I sat up in my seat and yanked it from him.

"I'll take that as a yes." I smiled sheepishly.

"Sorry, they're my favorite candy." Condé laughed.

"Ight noted." I put them in my bag before excusing myself to the restroom. I walked through the empty hallway to the closest one. I splashed some water on my face to wake me up and calm down a bit.

"Well, Well, Well If it isn't, Trailer Trash." Fucking hell. What have I done to deserve this? Other than killing a man. Tamaya and her lapdogs entered the restroom, looking like corner workers but that is nothing new.

"I'm not in the mood for your shit today or do I need to smack your face again?" I looked at her with my arms crossed and a challenging expression.

"How dare you disrespect me again! I let last time slide because I assumed the pup lost her leash but looks like I have a reason to beat your ass now!"

"Come at me," She had a smirk on her face when she came over to slap me. I was faster though.

I grabbed Tamaya's wrist and twisted her arm behind her back until something popped, causing her to scream, which worsened after I slammed her head into the mirror on the wall.

I watched her fall to the ground, holding her arm with a busted nose. Her lapdogs were at the other end of the bathroom.

"Either of you have gum on you?" They both reached into their purses while shaking and held out sticks of gum. I wandered over to them and took the gum before leaving all 3 of them in the bathroom, cowering.

I popped the gum into my mouth, blowing a bubble when I saw 2 familiar faces. Well, this is fascinating.

I keep a few feet away and lean against the side of the lockers. Eavesdropping is appropriate when it comes to my friend and the lovely Rivers son.

Condé is usually so laid back but standing across from Anthony made him really switch up. They both look like alpha males trying to claim some territory.

I think Imma choke on the testosterone. "Stay the fuck away from our business, Nystrom," Condé responded to him with a laugh while going into a relaxed pose.

"Last I checked a person isn't business, Ant," I swear if looks could kill.

"Call me that again and I'll make sure to stitch your mouth shut with a rusty needle. Stay away from Leo, she's with us."

Of course, the only reason he would talk to Condé has to do with me.

"I ain't interested in bringing her into my business nor do I want to get into her pants unlike you because I see her as nothing more than a friend. Do me a huge favor and get over yourself, prick."

Anthony shoved him while getting a small gasp out of me when Condé stumbled back. He quickly returned the shove to Anthony.

"What the fuck is your problem now, Rivers? I haven't done anything to her and I'm definitely nicer to her than you are.

Maybe you're jealous. Trying to get a fuck out of her or something?"

Damn Condé. I got lucky with a friend like him. Protective like an older brother. Anthony looked like he was fuming.

"I don't give a shit about her, I care about my family and our legacy. Leo being around the heir to the Nystrom family mafia doesn't exactly look good for our image."

Heir to motherfucking what? Oh dear brother from another mother, you got some explaining to do. Condé looks livid. "She's her own person. You'd know that if you showed her any ounce of respect." Just as I step out from behind the locker before a fight breaks out.

The hall echos with a yell and the sound of footsteps running full force, then I am tackled to the ground.
