"Bella, please talk to me." Lydia said as she sat across from her. "This Edward shouldn't cause you to be like this. He is just a boy that didn't deserve you."

Bella didn't look at her making Lydia sigh. "Lydia, go to work." Charlie said. "You've been here a month and she's still in this state. I'm calling Renee."

Lydia nodded as she looked back at her sister and walked out of the house. She leaned against the house as she tried her best not to cry. Lydia walked out and over to Klaus's house. When she got to his door, Lydia broke into tears. Klaus looked out the window to see Lydia crying. He stood up and walked outside to her. "Lydia?" She looked up. "Come on. It's too cold out here."

Lydia nodded as he guided her inside.

"What happened?"

Lydia sighed as she held Hope. "My sister is in this depression state because her boyfriend left her, but you can't get her out of that state." Klaus took Hope from Lydia and laid his daughter down. "Her boyfriend left her in the woods."

"Wow."

"I came here to help her, but she is in this state that she doesn't see me. It's like she's not here."

Klaus sighed as he walked to the cabinet and grabbed a bottle of wine. "I don't know what's it's like to have a sister act that way over some boy." He said as he poured two glasses of wine. "But you coming has probably been a blessing to your father."

"Yeah." She said as she took the glass. "I think the best part was meeting you and Hope."

Klaus looked at her and leaned in. Lydia smiled once their lips touched causing her to sit her wine down. Klaus pulled back and looked at Lydia. They shared a look before reconnecting.

Later that day, Lydia laid in the floor playing with Hope. The kiss still on her mind too. Klaus leaned against the frame as he watched Lydia and Hope play. Hope was giggling as Lydia was doing something silly. "Love?" She looked at him. "Would you like to stay for dinner?"

Lydia nodded smiling as she stood up with Hope in her arms. "I was thinking of taking her out to the park." She tells him. "It gives you...."

"Mind if I join?" He said as he walked to her.

Lydia looked how close they are. Klaus looked between them also and looked at her. The two leaned in to share another kiss, but the squeal of Hope had the two looking at her as she looked between them smiling. Lydia blushed as Klaus looked at her. He turned her around and kissed her. Hope started screaming causing them to pull away. Lydia picked her up smiling. "Are you ready?"

Hope leaned her head against Lydia for her to kiss. Klaus smiled as Lydia kissed his daughter's head as he did too. "I'll get her bag and we can stop to get something to eat on the way."

"A picnic sounds like a plan." She tells him. "Let's get going."

Klaus nodded as he watched her walk out with Hope. He knew right there that this is the woman he wanted. He may have had feelings before, but they weren't like this. He wanted everything with Lydia Swan. Marriage and a family. She was the perfect person for that.
