The next morning, Lydia woke up and saw Klaus still asleep. She smiled as she kissed his cheek. "Love, you're up early."

"I need to check on Hope and I'll be right back."

Klaus grabbed her and kissed her. Lydia laughed as she looked at him. "I love you."

"I love you." He says raising up. "Let's go check on Hope together."

Lydia smiled as she grabbed his shirt to put on. Klaus put some pants on and followed her, well chased her to Hope's room. When they opened the door, Lydia saw someone trying to take Hope. "Leave her alone!" She says as he magic threw the guy against the wall as Klaus caught Hope.

"Hayley wants her daughter back."

"If she wants her, then tell her to talk to us besides kidnapping and demanding. For now, I'm calling dad and tell him we have an uninvited guest."

Klaus looked at him making the vampire gulp hard. He put his daughter in her crib and went to the vampire. Lydia walked in to see the vampire get bite. "Love, get Hope and go to your father's. I'll be there in a bit."

"Okay."

Klaus smirked at the vampire. "My brother will get the message right. No one harms my family."

"No! Please!"

Klaus walked over to see Lydia on a blanket playing with Hope. She swirled her hand around causing the leaves to go up and spin around Hope making her laugh. He chuckled causing her to look up at him. "Where's your dad?"

"I just found out that Harry Clearwater passed and my sister isn't here. Jacob said she went to save Edward." She tells him. "She's dead when she gets home, dad will kill her."

Klaus sighed as he sat down beside her. "Elijah is on his way with Hayley to talk." He says. "I don't want you stressing..."

"We are in this together." She tells him. "We're a family now and yes, Hope isn't mine, but I love her like she's my own."

Klaus smiled as he kissed her. "I love you."

"I love you." She says looking at Hope. "How about we go to the diner to eat and then to the park where we can talk to Hayley and Elijah."

Klaus thought about it. A day with the love of his life and his daughter. He nodded, but knew she forgot about her appointment. "You're forgetting something." She looked at him confused. "Our appointment to see how far along you are."

Lydia put her hand on her stomach smiling. "I can't wait to meet the little one, but we need to figure out what to say to Hayley and Elijah. I can't lose Hope."

"Neither can I." He says kissing her head. "We'll figure something out."

"Together."

"Together."

Later that day, Hayley and Elijah arrived to see Hope laughing as Lydia pushed her in a swing. "I see you two finally came." Klaus says gaining their attention. "Let's talk because I will not let you take my daughter away."

"You took her from me! Her mother! And replaced me with some..."

"Finish that sentence and it won't end well, Hayley." Lydia says as she walked over with Hope in her arms. 'I'm not replacing you for one and two, you are the one who caused all this too happen. You wanted Hope to hate her own father and for what reason. Because of who he is? Bullshit."

"You don't know him well."

"And you do?" Lydia asked. "The last time I checked, Klaus said you seduced him for info just to find out you were pregnant and tried to kill a child he didn't think was his at first. Let's not go down that road."

"I just want my daughter back."

Lydia looked at Klaus. "You will stay here in Forks because I'm not letting you take her back to New Orleans." He looked at Hope holding onto Lydia. "I wouldn't want Hope being heartbroken because you took her away from her little brother or sister and her mother."

"I'm her mother, Klaus."

"To Hope, Lydia is her mother." Klaus tells them. "You can spend time here, but you will not take her away."

Hayley looked at her daughter to see the bond she has with Lydia. She sighed and nodded. "I won't hurt Hope by taking her away from Lydia."

"Thank you." Klaus says as he went to Lydia's side and kissed her. "Why don't we let Hope spend time with Hayley while we go see our little one?"

"Okay." Lydia says as she walked over to Hayley. "I hope you know I would never replace her. Klaus wanted it to be me that is her mother." She looked at Hope. "Maybe one day we can be friends."

"Maybe."

Lydia walked away with Klaus taking her hand. They shared a look and looked back at Hayley. "I hope she brings her back."

"Let's hope so too."
