Gideon looked at his small girlfriend in his arms, she trembled slightly as she slept and he sighed, petting her hair.
His phone went off and he reached for it, careful not to disturb Evie, He watched the video that had been sent to him, Eloise Carter and Lavinia Harred grinned at him from the screen.
Gideon signed loudly, as he watched. Eloise sharpened the knife in her hand "You know us of course, but Gideon, we have a fun message for you, you still owe us money, and so, were gonna take something from you, very soon"
"Bye bye Gideon, and Since I see her, Good bye to Evie, for now" Lavinia grinned.
Gideon turned off the phone and growled a bit, Clutching Evie to his chest, "I'll end it tomorrow, to keep her safe" he muttered as he fell asleep.
When he woke up he noticed Evie no longer cuddled in his arms, he jumped up and ran into the other room, relieved to see Evie cooking, her tea kettle on the stove as she made pancakes.
He walked up and gently hugged Evie from the back, careful around her spine "Morning maggot" he yawned
Evie grinned at him "Morning my love", hearing that made what he needs to do feel even worse, "Evergreen, we need to talk" he said serious. Evie looked at him nervous "W-what is it G?"
He looked her in her beautiful green eyes "We need to break up"
Evie nodded, grabbing her coat, she ran out into the rain, her tea kettle squealing loudly on the stove. Gideon turned off the stove, looking down, he sighed, he knew it was best for her, but it hurt, A lot.
That night Gideon was awake all night, unable to sleep, not holding Evie, and not even knowing she was somewhere safe.
Meanwhile Evie cried herself to sleep in the bottom of her pit, cuddled in the flowers that had grown over the poison ivy.
She didn't notice as two girls, Eloise and Lavinia picked her up.
When she woke up she was tied tightly to a chair, Eloise, holding a knife grinned down at her, Lavinia smirked, Evie felt a sharp pain in her side as Eloise stabbed the knife deep into it.
Lavinia took a picture with Eloises phone, the green sky case light up with the flash, She looked at Eli, "how do I send this to Gideon?"
Eloise ran over to Lavinia and Showed her how texting works. Eloise walked back over to Evie, tied in the chair, ripped the vines off Evergreens arms and neck, which had grown into her skin, blood welled up and ran down her neck and arms, blood piling under her. Lavinia took another picture, as she sent it to Gideon.
Gideon, who didn't get ANY sleep, checked his phone, seeing the pictures of Evie, his heart stopped momentarily. Evie looked so broken, and he hated it, so he figured out where they where keeping her using a tracking device he'd embedded in Evies arm, its not creepy, and ran to the location.
He ran into the building, Evies Bloody pulp body was still tied to the chair, But that's not how Gideon saw it, he picked her up and help her tightly, she was alive to him, His mind could not, and I mean COULD NOT comprehend her as dead, He help her tightly to his chest.
"Dont worry Maggot, Im going to protect you, no ones gonna hurt you again, Ill keep you somewhere only I can find you, and you'll be safe" he muttered, his fingers ran through her hair as he held her closer.
