Crown Princess of the Northern Empire :
Y/N

That morning was a dreadful morning. The emperor, your father dearest was  found dead.

You sat in your room, holding the autopsy papers, and the will in your other hand. You sighed. Although you were skillfully trained for your soon to come responsibilities, you still felt uncertain. You read the autopsy papers over and over again.

How frightening. Now that he was no longer ruler of the Northern Empire, you were the rightful heir to the throne. However, it didn't matter of you were his one and only blood and skin. Commoners and residents still thought you were unfit to rule the empire.

You were certain, now with your father dead, you were unprotected. Who was the one after you? Why?

"Your highness, you need to leave. The Northern Empire is no longer safe for you. Please flee this place and come back soon," Azule, your right hand man urged, worried for your safety.

Then, everything clicked.

You were dumbfounded. You did not intend to run away and leave all these people in danger. Never had you wanted to risk the lives of others for your own.

"No. I apologise for being impolite however I am not to just run away from my responsibilities in the mid of this mess," You bowed your head down, no matter your status.

It was what Father taught you. You pushed your luggage away and started on your journey to the conference room with the other ministers.

The moment you entered, the ministers that had already arrived stood up and bowed, showing respect to their future ruler. Duke Chellaston, Minister of commonwealth however, rolled his eyes and reluctantly bowed.

The moment you urged them to sit down, the whole room erupted. Heck, it was too rowdy.

"Princess, what shall we do about the people?"

"Princess, who's going to rule the Northern Empire now?"

"Princess, the gossips and rumours of the Kingdom is getting out of hand, what ever shall we do?"

The ministers kept throwing questions at you without giving you a chance to answer them. Your headache was worsening. 'These rowdy men, when will they ever shut up?'

"Now now, give the princess a breather and let us at least mourn on the late Emperor's passing even if it's just for a minute," Duke Newick, your father's most trusted friend and also the Minister of Finance helped to calm the others down.

"We're sorry for your loss princess, if you ever need a hand, we'll be here for you," Duke Newick bowed.

You reassured, and thanked him for his hospitality. You took a deep breath and spoke.

"I know we are currently in chaos, especially after the news of Father being pronounced dead just this morning, however we are not to be shaken up by this mess. It would be what any attacker wanted, wouldn't it?"
