Taking a piece of unused paper, you started writing.

Lady Rossetta squealed at the note as you tied the note to the bird's leg. You picked up the said bird and walked to your window. Before letting the bird leave, you whispered a little "thank you for visiting Prince Heinrey," not wanting anyone to hear you except the bird itself.

You closed your window and took off your reading glasses, getting ready to retire for the night. Heinrey was left confused as to how you knew his identity.

"Princess, wake up. The emperor is requesting an audience with you," Azule was shaking you, trying to wake you up from your sweet slumber.

"Ten more minutes please, it's not like he's going to bomb the North- Oh shit okay I'll go roght away," Immediately getting up and dress for the day, you walked out of your room.

You could already guess what he wanted to talk about. You sighed. 'This troublesome concubine'. As you continued walking, you could hear the castle maids hushly whisper to each other.

"Have you heard? Duke Ergi had just arrived yesterday evening,"

"Oh yea, he was seen with Lady Rashta the whole time, I heard he even punched a nobleman for her,"

To say you were only amused was an understatement. You wanted to laugh. Just what was this woman trying to do? As you reached the front door of Soveishu's office, you knocked thrice before hearing a soft "come in,".

"Azule, just wait here please." You walked in and bowed in respect to the leader. "You asked for my presence your highness?"

"Ah yes, I'm truly sorry for the sudden request but this is about Rashta, please do take a seat," The ravennette said as he pointed to the couch in front of him.

"Earlier Rashta told me that you spilled ice cream? was it? on her dress and you didn't apologise for it, princess what do you-" Before the male could continue, he heard soft sobbing from the princess in front of him.

"I di-didn't mean to do that. I-I tripped on a rock and landed on her. I said I was sorry and really hope she would forgive me but she looked so resentful of me. I only wanted to be friends with Lady Rashta," Tears were dropping to your cheeks, you looked down not wanting the emperor to see you in such a pathetic state.

"Please don't cry princess, you'd look much prettier if you smiled. I'm sure she forgave you and she would be very happy to be friends with you," He reassured as he wiped your tears from your face with hsi handkerchief as he put your hair behind your ears.

"Really?" You looked up at him with hopeful, red, puffy eyes from crying. His heart stopped at the scene. In his eyes, the princess was adorable. He smiled sofly.

"Of course princess, now do take a rest. I'll talk to Rashta about it okay?" You gleefully smiled as you nodded, truly resembling a child that had gotten their hands on a lollipop.

You smiled and waved at the ravennette as you left the room. The moment your back was turned to the emperor, the sweet smilr Immediately left your face. Azule was already waiting for you. The moment Azule had caught his eyes on you, he started to worry. "Princess?! Are you okay?"

You nodded, and walked ahead of him, it was as if nothing happened. As Azule was running to catch up to you as he continued questioning you, there was one thing that crossed your mind.

"Tch, the emperor is really an"

"idiot."

For the past week, you have been going around with the Navier, assisting and observing her doing her royal duties. Sometimes, you'd even help her with it although Azule said you really shouldn't involve yourself in another empire's affairs.

"When we're done with this, can we have a picnic someday? Like old times," you asked, really missing spending time with her.

"I could slot in some time for us to have a picnic but it may not be long," Navier replied, secretly also missing those times when you were children.

"Of course, royal duties is the top priority,"
