Chapter 22

Author's Point Of View.

"Argh! You're so heavy!" Kylie groan in pain as she give all of her strength on pulling. "Come on Levi! Wake up, Y/n is probably worried"

But Levi still remained unconscious, she's been dragging him after that explosion. Even if it hurts for Kylie to see her father calling out for her help. She still chose to save Levi. She didn't know how to drive nor trust anyone to take Levi to the hospital. So she decided to do it herself.

She manage to drag Levi until the sidewalk, to get some Taxi as Levi was constantly bleeding. She didn't know what to do. She could tell how messed up his face was, but her returning Levi to you was her most priority right now.

"I still can't believe that I chose you over my father.. you're just my cousin, and he's my father.. Tsk!" She rolled her eyes, as she finally got a glimpse of a Taxi approaching her direction.

She let go of Levi and gently put him down, as she wave her hands in the air to stop the Taxi, and of course this gestures of hers helped as she was noticed my the driver.

"Help! Help! My cousin! We need to take him to the hospital!" She exaggerated to keep up with the act, the driver noticed some blood stains on her clothes and Levi laying down unconscious.

"Please!" She faked cry, and so.. the driver helped her carry Levi into his car as they immediately headed to the hospital.

"Hurry up please! He's loosing too many blood"

"I still need to be careful or else the two of us will be joining him to the hospital" the driver responded, earning a frown from Kylie. He must be joking, she thought.

She looked at Levi, and guilt rushed into her. Everything was her fault if she never tricked you in the first place. This will never happen, she might get a lot of scolding or even worse from her father.. but at least no other people will get involved.

She thinks that, you might be with Levi right now if it weren't for her.. talk about your son, now she feels like the bad guy.. the poor kid must've been crying and looking for his father.

"I'm so sorry.." she whispered, and she look away. She can't look at Levi, the pressure was too much. And it will only make her feel better if she returns Levi to you, alive and complete.

Although, judging by the thought of that.. "You lost two fingers.." she said, after seeing Levi's hand.

"Being complete does not matter.. being alive does" she bites her lower lip as she thinks of it as a joke, even if the situation was bad, she still manage to create a pun for that.

Time skip.

Levi was already treated as he lays on the hospital bed, still unconscious while Kylie sat down on the chair next to the bed.

She know that she should be calling you know but, she wants him to be fully recovered first and probably apologize to you for being such a bad friend and betraying you.

She regret it a lot so she decided to do the right thing, even if it hurts her knowing that her father is dead. And now she's alone, the only relative that she knows..

Is the person laying down on the hospital bed right now, which is her cousin, Levi. Although Levi and Kylie never had a bond towards each other, Kylie still look up on Levi.

Because her dad would often mention how amazing he is, and would often say that he teaches him a lot to survive in this cruel world. And Kylie likes how Levi was like the main character in every story of his father.

She also wanted him to be proud of her, which is probably the reason why she betrayed you. But she realized her mistakes and willing to asked for your forgiveness even if it takes ages.

At least for now, she's happy that he got Levi here earlier before he could even loose more blood and end up just dying. You would definitely hate her a lot if that happens.

"Y/n, our son.."

Kylie frowns, as she looks at Levi who is talking in his sleep. He was murmuring something that she cannot understand, seeing a frown on Levi's face made her think that he's having a bad dream.

"Wait for me.." he said again, but Kylie decided to just stay put and listen.

"Y/n.. wait for me"

A smile appeared on her lips, "You really love my best friend huh"

The frown on Levi's face vanish as he started to just sleep peacefully, which gave Kylie assurance.

Somewhere else.

"I divorced her, I am really sorry for being blind all these years" Your dad almost kneel down for forgiveness but you already accepted it the moment he asked for it.

You still have a soft spot for him, "Dad it's fine, at least you've done the right thing"

"Yes, now seeing my grandchild makes me even happier" he ruffles Luis' hair as a smile appeared on your fathers lips.

But your mind never left Levi, even if you're doing stuff to distract yourself. You still think of him, the squad has been looking for him for the past days, and hey always come home with no news.

Luis, you still keep him patient, but that doesn't mean that he never looks for Levi. You missed him so much but you cannot do anything about it but to just wait and hope that one day he'll return.

You're still going to marry him anyways.
