"Are you ready?" Jungkook asked, softly knocking on the door before speaking. Your head snapped around at the sudden sound of someone. You nodded softly, looking down at the paper in front of you. You scrawled your signature at the bottom of the letter, the thickness of the black ink changing at the different strokes. Jungkook took a few steps closer to you, reaching down to take your hands in his before pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
"We ought to go now." You said, standing up and grabbing the handle of your suitcase, pulling it till it clicked. You left the now empty hotel room, walking down the hall.
"How are you feeling?" Jungkook asked.
"It's 3 in the morning, I'm sleepy." You answered with a yawn, making him giggle sweetly. Hearing laughter coming from around the corner, you swiftly followed the sound.
"Should we go?" You suggested, seeing everyone nodding eagerly at your words.
...
The busy streets before you had your mouth wide. Cars rushed past and the fluffy clouds were slightly grey, a light breeze ruffling your hair. Your lips stretched out into a smile as your friends caught up to you, moving to cross the street. You felt something you haven't felt in a long time – the feeling that everyone around you was happy. Your friends were happy, your fiancée was happy, and so were you.
"Our new life." You muttered, craning your neck up to look at a skyscraper dressed in glass. You spun around, giggling and accidentally landing in Jin's arms. Standing up straight you ran through the market, throwing down some money on a desk and pulling out a bouquet of flowers, smelling their honey scent as your white dress fluttered around your legs. The others chased after you, living their dream life. Free.
Jungkook couldn't help but stare, his eyes full of adoration and joy. He found the most beautiful, fun, hard-working girl in the world – and he's making his way to his celebration. To celebrate your love for each other. To celebrate this day – the day you vowed to be with each other in sickness and in health. He smiled at the ring on his finger as the others cheered for you, still extremely excited from the ceremony. Taehyung grabbed a handful of petals, throwing them up into the air to shower down on you and Jungkook.

Your mother sat down at the table alone, reading the letter you wrote for her. She pushed her glasses up her nose, reading the letter for the third time.
"I know that this is the royal way of life. I know that you have to choose whom I'll marry – but I don't want that. You know how I feel, so I still don't understand why you forced me. You found the perfect man, and I would have married him if I didn't fall for someone else. Jungkook loves me more than the air he breathes, and I feel the exact same way about him."
Her Majesty read aloud and cracked a small smile at this. She knew that you loved him. She knew that you were going to leave too, but this time she knew better than to stop you.
"We left for an unfamiliar destination. We left to get our lives in order and be together. Taehyung came with us too for he's a good friend to me and the boys. I apologise but I had to get away from there. Jungkook is my fiancée now, Your Majesty, and we want to get married.
If you ever find out where we moved to – feel free to visit. Yet I'll tell you this in advance: in our homes we care for each other, and we love one another – if you're not coming with that attitude, if you're coming in vexation, don't even try. I have nothing against you, and nothing in favour of you either, and if you change your mind after all these years and decide to show me motherly love, I'd be more than happy to talk. For now, it's all well. I must go, the others are waiting for me."
She respected your decision and she wished you all the best. If only she could say it. If only she could turn back time and raise you again. Nevertheless, reading this, she was proud to have you as a daughter.

"I love you." You hummed sweetly, pressing a soft kiss to Jungkook's cheek. He smiled, leaning down to place his lips on the tip of your nose.
"I love you too."
