"Good morning." A deep voice called out, making you look down to see who it was. Taehyung smiled up at you and you did the same, holding onto the branches as you used your free hand to wave at him.
"Good morning, Tae."
"What are you doing up there, if I may ask?" He said, stepping closer to the large oak tree and gently moving the twigs to be able to see you clearly.
"I'm in peace up here." You replied, caressing the leaves above you, appreciating nature's beauty. You closed your eyes, leaning your head against one of the branches and listened to the soft melody that the birds sang. A gentle breeze blew past, easing the sun's hot sting on your skin. Taehyung smiled to himself, seeing you so tranquil.
"Can I join you?" He asked, hand resting on the rough and gnarled bark of the great old tree. You opened your eyes again, simply nodding and he grinned, rolling up his sleeves and starting his climb up to you. Once he was close enough, you stuck your hand out, grabbing his to pull him up to the branch you were sitting on. You sat in silence, just looking at the tent of leaves surrounding you.
"What's this?" He asked, picking up a notebook that was sitting in your lap. You watched silently as he opened it, slowly turning the pages.
"It's my diary." You told him, a slight chirp in your voice as you saw him furrow his brow.
"But there's nothing written inside." He spoke, taking his time to look at the details of your sketches, as well as the contrast of the different pencils against the white paper.
"I don't like writing my feelings. I draw them instead." You grinned at his amused look as he flipped to the page you were working on a bit before he arrived. He stared at the girl's face, her face happy with silent tears in her eyes. She was sitting high up in a cloud, her legs crossed with her hands in her hair, tugging at the shiny locks. You watched, your smile slowly fading the longer you saw Taehyung's eyes dart back and forth across the page. You leaned forward, hand almost touching the book cover when Tae closed it, making you move your hand back as the book snapped shut.
"It's beautiful." He simply said and you sighed in relief, seeing that he didn't bother to ask what it was about.
"Thank you."
...
"So, how are things with Jungkook?" Jimin asked, smiling at the cameras and giving them a small wave as his grip on your arm tightened slightly when walking through the crowd.
"What do you mean?" You asked, leaning into him more as you walked down the cobblestone path, letting your free hand drop down to caress the red roses in the planters. Jimin smiled at your old habit, remembering when you were young and he would always get you fresh roses from his garden which you loved so dearly. Then you planted your own when you were thirteen, since your mother never wanted flowers in the garden. You and Jimin built a fence separating a part of the land and you planted flowers, letting a pink bougainvillea climb across the fence, covering it with green leaves and pretty flowers. In there you created your own garden so that you had something other than the orchard of trees.
"I mean, are you getting along well?" Jimin answered, snapping out of his thoughts.
"Yeah. He's so nice." You smiled out, thinking about the midnight snack. You stopped your movements, making Jimin stop walking too. Your eyes widened at the warmth radiating in your tummy as you thought about resting your head on his shoulder and him carrying you upstairs. You shook your head, ignoring it as you made your way back into the castle and to the 'casual' living room. You sat down on the sofa with a sigh, checking your phone to see the time.
