“Good to see you too Erica. Oh and I would like to introduce you to my boyfriend, Zayn” she pointed proudly at Zayn. So the jealous little heart of mine, which had now broken into a millions of tiny pieces, was right. But… but Zayn was my boyfriend, how did this happen? Ashley and Zayn were a couple now, and no one even told me. God knows, since when this had started.

I was standing there in front of both of them, like a little girl who had just lost her favorite doll and she wanted it back, desperately.

“Why Zayn?” I questioned with tears threatening to roll out of my eyes. This was definitely a nightmare and maybe if I could just close my eyes and open them again, I might come back to reality where Zayn was still mine. I tried to blink my eyes many times, but I could just wish it was this simple.

I didn’t get a reply, but a face flushed with guilt, facing the ground and another face smiling demonically at me.

“You know what Zayn Malik? I might not be able to manage without you for some days, but the really sad thing is, I actually thought you were different.” I stood there like a strong person, hiding the tears in my eyes hoping for someone to tell me that all this wasn’t true. Gaining everyone’s pity and nothing else, I just decided to turn around, and go back to my friends who also needed to give me explanations now.

The school had finally got a new topic to gossip upon. Walking through the hallway towards Harry’s class I could hear my name said in whispers.

*Why would Zayn leave her for Ashley?*

*Look, there’s Erica. She’s just been dumped, shall I try?*

*Erica must’ve been a bitch to Zayn, otherwise no one would dump someone after all they were so in love*

These murmurs weren’t going to let me down, and compared to what Zayn had done to me, these buzzes were nothing. I reached the history class, and through the window I could see Harry concentrating on the white board. I made a tsk tsk sound to grab his attention, and it did work. He looked at me and raised his eyebrows. He must’ve noticed my expressions, without any other sign he got up and asked Mr. Lewis the permission to come out.

I didn’t say anything and didn’t let him speak too. Grabbing his wrist, I dragged him down the hallway, to the locker rooms. He didn’t even question, as if he knew that he was going to be in this situation sooner or later.

“What on earth is going on Harry?” I asked.

“What are you talking about Erica?” he tried to ignore it.

“Don’t act innocent; you know what I’m talking about.”

“We didn’t tell you because you were already going through a lot of stuff, Tyler’s misery, Frank’s ugly attempts at taking your father’s place and many other things. How would we have told you about Zayn hooking up with Ashley? He was your strength, and we didn’t want you to get broken Erica.” He placed his hands on my shoulder, comforting me “Trust me, we didn’t mean to hurt you or something. We know, in fact I know how strong you are. You will get through this love; I’m always here with you.”

I couldn’t speak anything, I was flabbergasted. Pulling him into a hug, I let all my tears fall down on his shirt. He was constantly running his hand up and down my back. No one but Harry could calm me down at this time.

“You know what Erica? We could really use a drink right now.” He laughed making me laugh along.

“Jerk!” I slapped his chest and we went back to our classes, promising a drink to him. Yes, I was going back to the class that I shared with Zayn. I wasn’t going to let anything or anyone break me down; I wasn’t going to give a single crap in the world. Or that was what my brain thought, as my heart was running at the speed of three hundred miles an hour.
