It's an early October morning and you being a nature lover, you left the garden door slightly ajar so you could appreciate the sounds of nature whilst tucking into your porridge. Yet, you could still hear the murmurs from the radio discussing the first man on the moon and then 'Sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond, which of course you sang and danced to around the dining room.

Your mum entered, causing you to sit back in your seat embarrassed. She threw down today's entertainment magazine onto the space next to you. Intrigued, you picked it up and scanned through all the pages until you reached an article about a new television programme starting tonight.

Monty Python's Flying Circus

It said it was a comedy show and you appreciated comedy and wanted to give this new show a try. The article contained a picture of the people known as 'Monty Python'. All dressed in colourful outfits standing by a park in the summer sun:

Ooh there all cute

You decided you were going to watch it tonight, despite being shown at 11 pm, but you didn't care, you wanted to see what this show was all about.

That evening

It was only a few minutes till your show, that you've been thinking about all day, starts.

You ran into the living room and towards the television, constantly checking the analogue clock that sat on the fireplace opposite. You fiddled with the knobs on the television, waiting for the black and white blurs to turn to coloured video.

Finally, it worked!

The first images were a landscape of a beach with a tattered old man walking towards you, falling over a couple of times and then whispered 'it's...'

The sound of loud music echoed through your ears as multicoloured animations raced through the screen and then the programme officially started.

As the show progressed, you were laughing hysterically at things that your parents just didn't get (and one by one left the room). You wondered how they produced this programme and admired how intelligent yet silly the actors were.

When the show finished, you grabbed the magazine once again and began memorizing each of the actor's names.

Okay John Cleese. Oh HIM. He's very tall. Not wearing a bright outfit like the rest of them. Bit boring then!*
Michael Palin. Ooh he's HOT. Little heartthrob!
Graham Chapman. Seems sweet.
Eric Idle. Hippie. Did he go to the Woodstock festival? I wonder!
Terry Gilliam. Who's he? Ohhhh! He did the animations. No opinion on him really.
Terry Jones. Another cutie. *sighs*

*the last paragraph was a joke and shows what you might think when your first getting into python (to be honest these were my opinions apart from the 'Eric is a hippie' but he just screams hippie aesthetic).

The next day

At school, you told everyone who would listen about this new programme that you watched last night. Luckily, your best friend also watched the show and was as enthusiastic about it as you were, instantly picking favourites - hers was Michael and yours was (insert favourite python). You and her pretty much spent the whole day talking about Monty Python, to the annoyance of the other students and the teachers.
