I couldn't sleep the whole night because I kept repeating yesterday's events. I was getting myself some cereals and milk for breakfast. I slept in till 1pm so I had to eat by myself.

"You were never an early bird" my grandma said while doing some preparations for dinner later.

My parents and grandpa were outside doing whatever, I was half asleep when they told me were they were going.

"Oh while you slept, Lola was here and told me to give this to you" Grandma said handing me a old colourful book
"What's that?"
"I don't know" she said before walking upstairs.

I opened the book and saw a bunch of pictures of me when I was younger. It must have been something like a photo diary.
I skimmed through the pages and smiled at all the pictures.

"Ughhh. Why can't it be night time already?" I whined to myself as I painted in the garden. I found my moms old painting essentials and decided to paint on some canvas I bought earlier today.

I checked my phone and still nothing. I didn't even get tagged in a single Instagram post, that's weird.

I didn't wanted to worry about my so called friends anymore and decided to concentrate back on my painting.

Later I decided to call Lola on the telephone since they still use these here.

"Hello? It's Liya"

"Oh hey Liya wassup?"

"Not much. Kinda bored to be honest. But I just wanted to ask you a random little question. For a story I'm writing of course!"

"Shoot"

"Imagine you met a guy at night while... going for a walk and he claims that he's never been outside and wants you to show him the world basically"

"Uhhh is that a serious question?"

"Pshh of course not. But if you had to answer what would you do??"

"That's easy I would just leave him, You never know what people are up to. That's probably just a stupid scheme to get you alone and human traffic you or something like that"

"Oh"

"What kind of book are you writing to ask questions like that?" Lola joked

"Oh uhm just something silly"

"Alright my moms calling for me, I have to go now"

"K see you soon"

I tried to occupy myself today as much as I could until it finally hit midnight. I changed into a pair of grey sweats and a black tank top since it's still warm outside. I put my box braids into a ponytail and got my backpack.

I went the exact same way Lola showed me and arrived around almost 1 in the morning.
I turned my flashlight on so I could see better,
I didn't noticed that Nathaniel was already there waiting for me.

"Holy shit! You scared me!" I shrieked placing a hand on my chest
"Oh I'm sorry I did not intend on doing that" he said calmly.

Instead of a pyjama Nathaniel was this time dressed in black trousers and a grey turtleneck.

"Don't you think it's too hot for this type of clothes?" I asked him.
Nathaniel looked at his clothes and then back to me "No"
I just shrugged at his response.
