Nathaniel had just finished his shower when someone knocked on his door, his butler entered the room.

"Here is your schedule for today" his butler said while handing Nathaniel his schedule for today.
It read
9:30am Marketing
10:30am PE
12pm Englisch
2pm French
3pm Mathematics
4:30pm German
5:20pm Piano lessons
7pm Monthly doctors appointment

It was always the same dull tasks just a different order.

"Why do I have to learn all these things when I am not even allowed to go outside?" Nathaniel asked Greg his most cherished butler.

Greg is the only one of the staff who would talk to Nathaniel or tell him interesting stuff and facts about the outside Nathaniel had yet to experience and the only one Nathaniel could trust.

"This is a question I cannot answer, sir" Greg responded standing tall.

19 years. This is how long Nathaniel lived here in a cold, empty and mansion. The only people in here besides Nathaniel and his father is the staff, though they are not allowed to talk to him if not needed to, ordered by his father.

To this day Nathaniel does not know why but his father has restrained him from going outside, when Nathaniel asked him why; he said it's because of his health and weak immune system but Nathaniel does not believe his father and calls that an 'obnoxious lie'.

His whole life it has always been them two, Nathaniel never got to know his mother he doesn't even comprehend what a mother is or rather what's it like to call someone a mother. All he knows is that when a child is born it normally has a mother and a father.

When Nathaniel asked his father where his mother is he simply responded that she apparently 'is in a better place.'

'I'm tired of living like this' he thought

That's why he took it upon himself and was going to try and sneak out tonight.

"Should I escort you sir?" Greg asked and he simply nodded and got ready for another tedious day.

"Sir" a butler interrupted Nathaniels free time reading a book about geographies.

"I'm here to inform your that your father has arrived" he said monotonously.

The only good thing about his fathers arrival after his weeks of absence is the fact that Nathaniel gets to see outside world. The windows in here are covered with some sort of protection making the outside look blurry to him, it may just be a little peek outside but it's still very much exciting for him.

Nathaniel practically rushed all the way from their library to the two large double doors, the doors wouldn't lead completely outside. It leads to another room where you get disinfected so nobody brings any harmful bacteria's inside.

The door opened revealing his father and the actual door to get outside.
Nathaniel was able to catch a glimpse of the setting sun and the usual green landscape.

"Good evening father" He greeted
"Good evening." He said as he entered further inside.

Despite sharing a roof, Nathaniel and his father existed in separate emotional spheres. Communication between them was a rare and hesitant visitor, quickly retreating back into the comfortable silence.

"Have you already eaten?" He asked Nathaniel only turning halfway around
"No, father"
"Why?"
"I did not feel like eating"
"You know your body needs the nutrients, so you must eat, Nathaniel!"
