THREE YEARS LATER

"Dr Choi," Mr Jeon spoke, his voice sounding stern with authority, "How bad is the damage?"

The doctor eyed the man and his wife who were seated on the opposite side of his office desk. Letting out a sigh the Dr Choi rested one  arm on the desk, while he used the other one to open the folder laying in front of him.

"As you know the operation was successful, but one other thing you also know is the severity of the car accident. He was lucky to have even made it out alive."

"So what's this thing you mentioned about sexual dysfunction?" Mr Jeon asked. He was clearly a difficult man to deal with.

"Well, you see, your son suffered severe pelvic fracture which in turn affected his reproductive organs. There was a massive nerve damage but we managed to fix some of that during surgery."

"Does that mean he'll be able to function sexually once he gets better?" Mrs Jeon asked for the first time.

"Well, I can prescribe some medication to help with erection, but I'm sorry to inform you that he'll never be able to father a child."

"That can't be possible." Mr Jeon barked, "You are a doctor. Aren't you supposed to fix that? And you claim the operation was a success when you can't even do your job properly?"

"Honey, please calm down." Mrs Jeon reasoned with her husband.

"Why should I calm down. It's clear this Doctor does not live up to the praises he gets. I'll have to schedule for an appointment with a specialist from overseas."

"Sir, you have a right to get a second opinion from another doctor, but you know very well that I'm highly qualified in this area, hence the response will be the same. I can recommend someone from the States to come and have a look at your son's condition this coming week, but it will cost you a lot of money."

"Do you think money is a problem to me Dr Choi? Bring in the specialist and arrange for a solution to fix this problem. My son is the next in line heir to the Jeon Empire. I won't have him lose that privilege to my brother's son. I'm more than willing to pay any amount of money for his treatment."

A week had passed and just like Dr Choi had promised, a medical specialist flew in from the States to check Jungkook's condition, but his diagnosis was the same as the first doctor.

Infuriated, Mr Jeon stomped over to his son's ward.

"Honey, please go easy on him." Mrs Jeon pleaded as she struggled to keep up with her husband's pace, "This is already difficult for him, so it's our duty as his parents to give him all the support he needs."

"You.." Mr Jeon spoke, turning around to face his wife, "This is all your fault for always pampering and spoiling that stupid son of yours. He's always believed he could just do as he pleases and get reckless when ever he feels like it. I shouldn't have listened to you when you talked me out of sending him into the military. Maybe...just maybe he could have been a little disciplined."

"Mr Jeon, are you not ashamed to even think of doing such a thing to your only child?" She asked, but the man didn't answer her as he continued walking to Jungkook's room.
