"Jasmine! Are you okay?"
I can't speak. It's him and he's staring back at me. I instantly recognized him. Those damn light brown eyes. I spot them from anywhere.
"Mmm... Yeah, I just need a minute. I need to go to the bathroom. I will be back," I tell them, grabbing my purse. "Okay? But do you want us to come with you?"
"No, it's okay. I will be okay." I leave the booth as fast as I can. I don't believe it's him. It can't be. I start walking towards the bathrooms. I need a minute to recover from that moment.
I move people out of the way but then feel a pull on my arm and look up to see who it is. It's the bartender. "Hey babe, where are you going? We still haven't had our moment yet."
"No, I can't. I need to go to the bathroom!" trying to pull my arm back but he won't let it go. I need to get out of here.
"Stop playing hard to get, Babe. I bet I can make your night pretty special if you can give me a chance," He leans closer to kiss me.
I try to move my head out of the way. "I said no. Please stop." I try to get out of the way but can not.
I feel someone shove me and yell, "Dude stop! She said no. Leave her the fuck alone." I recognized that voice. Damn it. I'm trapped now. I have to try to find a way out.
"And who are you? The boyfriend? I bet she will have a better time with me than you asshole," The bartender yells back.
"Yes, I am her boyfriend! Now get the fuck out of here before I fucken beat the hell out of you! And it's not asshole, it's Evan," he yells back.
Boyfriend? What!? I blush a little but I try to keep a straight face. Not the time Jasmine. I noticed that his arm was around my waist and pulling me closer and closer to his body.
"I got it, dude. I will leave her alone," the bartender slowly walks back into the crowd. I see him running before Evan can even get him.
"Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" He turned his body towards me.
"No, I'm okay. Thank you, Evan," I told him and looked close to his eyes. "Yeah, no problem. I mean I kinda need to keep you alive so you can make my coffee. I have to say that you are the best at making it."
I smiled at his comment. "So you do remember?" I said, biting my lip.
"Of course! How could I forget you?"
"Well, when you came by the coffee shop it kinda seemed you wanted to run away from me," I tell him
"Maybe because I needed to get to work." He smiles
Oh.
"Yeah I know, I'm just playing with you." I am trying to laugh it off. Why do I think everything is about me?!
"For sure?" His eyebrows raised. "So what is my favorite barista doing in a nightclub dressed like that?"
I knew this dress would get attention from guys. I mean come on I look hot. Should I tense him? "What's wrong with my dress? Should it be more revealing?"
