Part 23

The next morning Jughead woke up and looked at his two beautiful girls.

Isabella was awake holding onto Betty tight while she was still asleep.

Jughead- Good morning sweetie.

Isabella- Hi Daddy.

Jughead- Do you wanna go downstairs and we can make some breakfast for mommy?

She shook her head and held onto Betty tighter.

Jughead- Ella, mommy's not going anywhere, now let's go make her a special breakfast.

She hesitantly nodded and reached her arms out for Jughead to carry her.

He chuckled and placed her on his hip.

She cuddled into his side and he gave her a kiss on the head.

He brought her downstairs and they went into the kitchen to make some pancakes.

Jughead sat Isabella on the counter while the started to cook but she just wanted to be in his arms.

She kept reaching for him so while they cooked she stayed glued to his hip.

He made the batter with help from Isabella but before he put them in the pan she asked for him to put in one more ingredient.

Isabella- Chocolate chip?

Jughead- You want chocolate chips?

Isabella- Yes!

Jughead- Okay, I'll put chocolate chips in.

He poured some chocolate chips into the batter and she started giggling.

Jughead- Do you wanna help me cook them?

Isabella- Yeah!

Jughead- Okay, sit on the counter and you can help me flip them.

When he tried to put her on the counter she clung onto his arm.

She didn't want him letting go of her.

Jughead- Isabella, it's okay, I'm right here.

Isabella- Don't put me down. (tears)

Jughead- Sweetie, I'm right here, nothing's going to happen.

She started to cry so he pulled her back into his arms and gave her a kiss.

Jughead- It's okay baby, I'll hold you.

She clung on to him as he cooked the pancakes but once they were done Betty walked down the stairs and wrapped her arms around them.

Jughead- Good morning cutie.

Betty- Good morning.

Isabella- Mama!

Betty- Hi baby.

She reached her arms out for her mother and Betty held her on her hip.

Betty- I see you helped daddy make breakfast.

Isabella- Yeah, chocolate chip pancakes!

Betty- That sounds really yummy!

Jughead- Good because they're ready.

He brought all of the pancakes to the table and they ate together.

Betty sat at the end with Isabella in her lap while Jughead was directly next to them.

As Isabella finished eating she curled into Betty's chest and got very quite.

Betty knew she had been acting differently so she just held her tight.
