I stared at the note for several minutes in complete astonishment. He did... He felt the same way about me... I lifted my head and stared around the basement looking for a way out. Then, I saw the exit but I couldn't move at all.

My hands were tied behind my back, my legs were tied to the chair, my neck was strapped to the chair as well. Who would do such a thing..?

I heard heavy footsteps and I started to panic. Shoving the note back into my pocket, my hand slipped out of the rope. I held it in front of my face, seeing the rope burns and gasped. The footsteps got closer so I decided to "play dead".

A huge man towered over me, with Caroline behind him. The man knelt down to my level and stared at me. He grunted and went back upstairs, leaving Caroline and I alone.

"I know you are awake, Nev." Caroline spoke. I didn't respond, but I slowly opened my eyes and stared at the floor. "Uh oh. Looks like your hand slipped out of the ropes..." Said Caroline, obviously angry.

I wasn't able to respond, with the tape over my mouth and all, so I just breathed heavily and closed my eyes again. "You want to leave, don't you?"

I nodded slowly. Caroline turned my head and I was noes to noes to this crazy girl. I stared into her eyes, mine filled with furry, and struggled to get out of the chair. She grabbed the tale and ripped it off.

I yelled in pain and stared at Caroline. "Why are you doing this?!" I shouted. She placed a finger on my mouth. "Shhh... Don't talk..."

I have a look of disgust. And moved my head away. "Let me leave! I need to get back." She stood up and stared down at me. "Why would you ever want to leave?"

I didn't answer. She said something under her breath but then clearly spoke, "The only way to leave here is to stop your dumbass television show." I shrugged "I can deal with that..."

"That's not all, you also need to let Roland, the man you saw, torture you for a day. No.. Three days"

"If that is the only way out of here, then... I'll do it..."

She smirked at me and chuckled. At they moment the doorbell rang. Caroline looked upstairs and said, "I'll be right back."

I watched as the went upstairs and listened for who was at the door. The door opened and I heard a voice filled with anger and worry.

"Where's Nev?" The voice shouted. Max!

"Nev? He left yesterday. He wasn't there?" Caroline lied.

"No he wasn't. I know he is here, now where is he?"

"Roland, explain to Max that Nev isn't here."

I needed to say something. Max needed to know that I was being held captive. "MAX!!" I yelled.

"What was that??" Max shouted. "Nev?!"

I heard a loud stomp followed by a choking noise. Next, there was a thump and the shattering of glass. I sat in the chair, paralyzed with fear.

There was several grunts of pain that sounded like Max. Then, I heard an even louder thump. Max came crashing down the stairs and he laid motionless at the bottom.

"Max?!" I yelled, struggling to get out of the chair. I freed both hands and untied my legs. Running over to Max, I collapsed over him. He wasn't breathing and I could feel no pulse. "M-Max...?"

I looked at his face, which was dripping with blood. "No no no no no no... Max... Stay with me bud..." I stuttered, eyes filling with tears.

Caroline and Roland must have left, there was no sound coming from upstairs.

I sat on the ground looking at my friend. I picked up his head and held it close to mine. "Max..." I whispered. "Please...."

Tears started to slowly stream down my face and onto Max's, taking his blood with it. I closed my eyes and kissed Max's lips lightly, fearing the worst. Max was gone. The guy I've always known and loved, died in my arms...

I cried hard into Max's chest and hugged him tightly. I've never got to tell him that I felt the same about him... And, I never will be...

I felt a hand on my back, then another. They formed into a tight hug. I looked at Max's face and he was smiling. His eyes opened and he stared at me.

"Max!!" I yelled before hugging him even tighter. He struggled, but managed to sit up, hugging me back.

"I thought you were... Gone..." I sniffed. Max shook his head and wiped my tears away. "Never. I would never leave you without telling you that I... Well, I love you Nev."

I cried again and kissed Max. Max gladly kissed back. I pulled away and uttered the words, "I love you too," before kissing him again.
