The next morning, Diluc awoke early. He decided to try and catch Kaeya on his way out before he left. He went to the chest where he kept all of his fathers old things. Inside, there were numerous gadgets and clothes. He grabbed his fathers coat and sword and promptly left for Mondstadt.

Upon arrival of the cities gates, he greeted the guards and marched inside. Up the steps and to the Knights of Favonious headquarters he went, and he was lucky enough to catch Kaeya as he walked out the door.
"Kaeya." He shouted. Kaeya turned his head, and waltzed over to Diluc.
"Hello brother, what are you doing in Mondstadt this early? And on the day of my departure, no less. Could it be that you're seeing me off?" Kaeya remarked smugly.
"No, Kaeya, I'm only here to give you this." Diluc handed him the sword and coat, and Kaeya's eyes widened.
"Fathers sword? And his coat?"
"Yes. He wanted you to have these... I was just too selfish to give them to you. I figured you could use them for your mission."
"Ah..." Kaeya looked down. If Diluc didn't know any better, he'd think that Kaeya was holding back tears. Just as Diluc was about to leave, Kaeya embraced him in a hug, whispered a thank you, and left down the city streets towards his wagon. 'hm, an unexpected reaction.' Diluc thought, and he started walking his way home.

Wednesday Night
'Should I meet him in the tavern? I don't see why I can't visit him another night.'

Thursday Night
'Such an odd request, I didn't think that after all this time he'd still be feeling nostalgic for when we were younger.'

Friday Night
'He'll surely be fine, a captain of his skill is strong enough to embark on such a journey and come back unscathed.'

Saturday Night
'I'll go to the tavern on Tuesday, just to see what's going on. Nothing else to it.'

Sunday Night
'Damn it... I can't help but feel uneasy. His mission isn't that difficult, he'll be fine.'

Monday Night
'He gets back tomorrow. Maybe... no. He's a traitor, he doesn't deserve my forgiveness. Even if I did forgive him, I doubt we could be brothers again. It's just too... too... hard. Even if he seems to want to go back to the way things were, he doesn't really. He's a liar. But I'll meet him nonetheless.'
