Back in college there were people you know would just do well just by looking at them and there were people that didn't give a shit and would still do well
In the first year she knew malcom she'd see him around campus a few times with his girlfriend sometimes and others just walking home with his headphones in
It wasn't stalking because most of the time she'd be walking home too other times she's just see him around and glance at him you know wondering what it'd be like to speak to this boy who she always seemed to have heart eyes for
It wasn't until their was all end of semester party which somehow she had been invited to by one of her classmates
She wore her hair in a bun and just a cute jumper and jeans nothing too special not the at she knew what to wear for this particular thing anyway
Crystal didn't really go to parties you see nor was she invited to them
She went nonetheless because she'd been taught that it was rude to not show up to places you're invited to
It was pretty packed and loud Crystal couldn't remember who's house it was even at but that didn't matter because he was there
By some matter of fate the boy she was in love with from a car was there
She tried to mingle and by mingle she just walked around drinking every red cup that was around
He was sat outside looking up at the sky and just smiling he'd looked so carefree
there was an empty space next to him not that he noticed
"I know you" he slurred
She stilled.
He didn't know her
He couldn't
"I was the tour guide for your first day, honestly your parents scared the shit outta me I won't lie"
She hummed because she couldn't believe he remembered her
"I always see you around when you think I'm not looking most of the time I'm not but I see you"
It was almost as though Crystal couldn't hear think of speak her thoughts had been consumed of this boy who would he leaving soon only for him to tell her that he saw her? what was she meant to say to that
"i didn't realise honestly I thought I was out of seeing space. obviously not". she moved to get up once more but he stopped her and breathed one world
