Jaehyun smirks in satisfaction. Finally, the one who caused the death of his brother is joining him in the other side. Laughing contently, he takes a sip of his drink before taking another shot. 

"14 shots" he laughs. 

"Fuck, that's a good news"

"But the police are currently holding out an investigation"

One of his men echoes and the man spits his drink on the floor and stares deadly at his minion.

"Haven't you heard about the phrase money buys everything?"

"Yes?"

"Fuck, leave it there. It's none of your business. Anyway, how's the deal with that bastard? I heard he demands more supply from us, huh?"

"Yes, Jaehyun. Jimin said it yesterday when we delivered his stuff. He needs more"

"Fine, send him extra next time" Jaehyun crosses his legs together as he lights up a cigarette.

"And tell him that he should be willing to pay more. Extra drug means extra cash"

"Sure, Jaehyun" his man replies before leaving him to smoke.

"Fuck you, Manoban. Now that you're gone, everything feels so fucking good"

Lili cradles the file in her lap, her eyes are getting tired from reading all the fucking details. But fuck, she's not anywhere to give up.

"Fuck, Lisa" she hisses to herself. "What damn assignment you give me, you fucking bitch"

She chews her sister who clearly isn't there to defend herself.

For a moment, her damn mind brings her back to the days where she spent it with Lisa.

Flashback

"Lisa, would you help me with this?"

Lili asked her big sister as she pointed at the dishes in the sink. Their mom had taught them both to always clean after their messes. Lisa rolled her eyes but she walked up to Lili and stood next to her.

"What do you want me to do?"

"Can you put these plates inside the dishwasher?"

"Sure" Lisa nodded before bending over to open the dishwasher. Her little sister passed her plate by plate before suddenly Lili yelled as she pulled her hand from the sink. Lisa jumped to see and her eyes widened in horror as she spotted blood from her sister's finger.

"Lili" she said in panic. "You hurt yourself!"

"I didn't realize there was a broken plate in the sink"

Lili cried and Lisa hurried to comfort her. "It's okay, Lili. I got you" she assured her. "And I won't let you go"

Flashback ends

Without she ever realizes, stubborn tears flow down her cheeks. And Lili is so taken aback that she is frozen on the couch with the file in her hand, her brain tries her best to wake the attorney up from her daze.

Lili has cried only twice in her life.

The day her dad parted her from her sister.

And the day she married her longtime sweetheart, Roseanne Kim.

And right now, she's crying over a stupid memory of her and Lisa.

"Fuck" she mumbles under her breath as she shuts the file on the coffee table. "We've been away from each other for so long, Lisa. What the hell that you want from me now?"
