Always, All Ways

Prologue

"Mahal kita, Mel. And I will love you always, in all ways" His faint voice echoed in my head.

"GIRL! GUMISING KA NGA, ANDIYAN SI BOSS"

Nagising ako dahil sa ingay ng boses ni Faye. Hindi ko namalayang naka idlip pala ako sa loob ng office

"Are you okay? You seem tired ah. Hindi ka ba nakatulog ng maayos kagabi?" Dinig kong mga salita galing sa kaibigan kong kanina pa pala ako ginigising.

Napatingin agad ako sa oras nang marinig ko ang boses ng aming boss.

"Shit! Ba't 'di mo agad ako ginising?!" Tumayo agad ako at nagreport ng files sa boss ko na akala mo'y palaging umuusok yung ilong sa sobrang sungit.

"Jeez, you're welcome bestie" Pasarkastikong banggit ni Faye. Natawa na lamang siya at inirapan ako.

Binagsak ko lahat ng files na hawak hawak ko sa itaas ng aking desk. Umiinit na naman yung ulo ko dahil kay sir. Para ba naman kasing sa akin niya inilalabas yung sama ng loob niya sa buong mundo.

I was wearing a light grey mock neck sleeveless top, a white high waisted wide leg jeans, a pair of beige pumps, and a light brown long blazer. Nag outfit pa naman talaga ako ngayon para maayos ako tingnan sa presentation ko tapos tatapunan lang ako ng kape ng boss namin.

"Bwiset talaga!" Napairap ako sa sobrang inis.

"Girl, calm down. Tara alis tayo? End naman na ng shift natin." Faye said.

"Sorry girl, I'm just really tired. Magpapahinga nalang siguro muna ako. I'll call you if I'm not busy. Mauuna na 'ko"

I grabbed my light brown handbag that matched my outfit and walked to the door.

Lalabas na sana ako ng office when one of our officemates blocked my way.

"Hey, you wanna grab a drink later? Tayo lang dalawa, my treat" my officemate said. Medyo creepy yung actions niya in a way that he's checking me out. He's been treating me like that ever since he got hired into Fernandez Builders, the company that I'm currently working at. I never wanted to hurt his feelings so I would always turn him down kindly, or at least not in a harsh way.

"I'm sorry Josh, I'm just really tired. Maybe next time, okay?" I walked past him and went straight to the elevator and pressed the down button.

I felt a sense of relief.

"Hayyy" I went inside my car and let out a heavy sigh.

"Sa wakas, makaka uwi na rin" I whispered to myself as the corners of my lips formed a smile.

Nakakapagod yung araw na 'to. It's always been like this, dapat nga nasasanay na ako eh.

I took off my heels and slid into a pair of comfy slippers. It was a another draining day at the office. My boss is a jerk, and honestly, napaka bitch rin talaga ng mga ka-officemates ko especially the girls. Except for Faye, my best friend since high school. They always treat me differently and they even create stories about me para may pag chismisan lang sila. Oh well, that's life.
