Becoming Harlivy

Chapter 10

*Harley Quinn and Joker have been captured by Batman once again...."

The red head was watching television in her new hideout in the abandoned toxic neighborhood. It was perfect for her since she was immune to all known toxins.

It's been 2 years since Harley went with Joker. Ivy has been keeping an eye on the jester ever since. It was to make sure Harley wasn't too seriously hurt... even though there were numerous times where she was.

Ivy sighed remembering the time when she first met her as her psychiatrist.

It doesn't hurt as much as it once did, it's funny, it's as if this became a toxin I'm becoming immune to.

The past couple of years she would just speak through the green asking them to keep her updated on the jester. At first she just really tried to ignore the name Harley Quinn, even trying to drink the pain away with wine. However, no matter how much she tried something in the back of her mind just told her she had too keep looking out for that daffodil.

And so, there she was watching the television, watching as Harley winked at Batman while he was taking her in the Arkham vehicle.

Getting up she turned off the television and was walking towards her bed when she hears a knock on the door

Immediately tensing up she prepares herself for any altercation and soon relaxes when the green tells her a certain cat is outside...

"Selena, what do you want?"
Opening the door the raven haired woman in latex was examining her nails.

"Why Ivy, can't I just hang out with a friend?"

Ivy rolled her eyes, "Please, we both know that's not true so cut to the chase cat. Don't make me regret giving you immunity to my home."

Selena gave Ivy a sly smile and shut the door behind her and sat down. 

"Only true friends of mine would know I don't just 'hang out', come on Ivy loosen up. I'm not Harley..."

Ivy turned and glared at Selena gritting her teeth as she spoke, "Don't you dare..."

Selena put her hands up in defeat "Sorry, low blow. Anyhow, I do need your help however. You see, there's this new diamond exhibit in downtown Gotham, I can get in easily just that they have lots of people securing the diamond...and luckily they're all men."

Ivy continued to glare at Selena as she crossed her arms, " And tell me, why would I help you?"

Selena's smile grew, "Ah did I forget to mention there's also a new botany exhibit? Right across from the diamond, exotic plants from the Amazon I believe."

Ivy groaned internally, 'How could I forget about that? I remember reading in the news about it'

Ivy sighed,  "Alright Selena I'll help you BUT  we do this my way. I'll need time to gather all the babies, it can't just be an in and out mission like you always do."

Selena got up unexpectedly and walked passed Ivy towards her kitchen, reaching in her cupboard grabbing wine glasses and a bottle of wine from the cabinet.

She than poured some in both glasses giving one to ivy and holding hers up, " To the compromise of Poison Ivy and Catwoman."

Ivy couldn't help but actually chuckle surprising Selena. "To the compromise of Poison Ivy and Catwoman."
