I woke up before dawn and was already putting my hair up in my signature bun and was putting on my glasses. I got my coffee and headed towards the asylum. In my files I had a secret item that I knew wouldn't be able to go through the big gates that were the barrier between the patients in Arkham and Gotham but I figured the guards wouldn't look through my things since I've been working there for more than a month now.

Sure enough, I went through the gates just as I usually did. I said good morning to the guard and walked straight towards my office. I opened up my files and pulled out a daffodil. I remember Pamela calling me that on our first encounter and hopefully this would gain her trust. I also decided to bring her lunch. I read in her notes that she was a vegetarian which makes it contradicting to her morals as an ecoterrorist but I will get to that later on as I have more sessions with her. I also had another surprise for Pamela that took a lot of convincing.

I thought back to last session with Mistah J.....

<FLASHBACK>

I had brought a speaker that had a USB port in since I believed it would be too risky to bring in a cell phone in Mister J's cell.

I really like the way that sounds

Mister J...

I looked at the clock on top of my office door and saw that it was just about to be 7 AM. I decided since I came extra early I would get a headstart on all the paperwork I had to file for both my patients.

I didn't realize how much paperwork I had done because as I looked back up at the clock I noticed an hour had passed and it was about to be 8 AM. I quickly gathered my clipboard and began to get ready for my first patient which was Mister J.

The month I've been here I have realized that he is actually a funny guy. There have been numerous occasions when he has made me laugh whether it be about Batman or about the city of Gotham. It makes me proud to say that besides Dr.Lee I am the only other doctor that has been able to communicate with him.

I still haven't asked him my question since I can't seem to decide what question to ask. There is also the possibility that he would just lie to me...

But he wouldn't do that. He could have had laughed my head off a while ago if he didn't like me. That's how much I have gotten to know about Mister J.

I entered the room and saw him in his plexiglass cage. Today was the day I would be able to finally sit inside the cage with him.

Lately, our sessions in the past month have gotten...intense. He keeps changing his story but each day Mister J tells me how he feels about me. How different I am from everybody else, that I get him. And honestly...

I think I kinda understand

The sound of a buzzer went off and the door to the cage opened and I quickly went inside.

"Hello Harleen, ah good girl you brought the music for our date today," he said with a wide grin.

I felt a blush rise on my cheeks.

"Yeah, I couldn't forget since I marked this day on my calendar."

He was sitting on a plastic chair, the dim light above us shed light on his bleached white skin. He always smelled of lemons I noticed. I sat down in a plastic chair across from him.

"Glad to know that I am special for you Harleen, I am special to you right?" His voice getting dark at the last part of the sentence.

"Of course you're special to me MIster J, more than you know"
