TW: mention of drug use, swearing, abuse
Opening my eyes the first thing I saw was a wooden floor. I couldn't remember where I was, or what happened. Then it hit me.
I turned my head around, I was lying on my floor. I rubbed my eyes getting up. My window was still open, I went over to it wondering why it was. Then I remembered.
Shit. What time is it?
I searched for my phone in my pants, feeling around my waist. I couldn't find it.
No,no,no. I must of left it at the party.
Or Dream could have it. He was the last person I was with, and the last person I want to see. I walked to my closet looking for new clothes to put on. I didn't care that my hair was a mess, I just had to get my phone. What time even was it? How late am I for school? Is it even a school day? I opened my door running downstairs, forgetting about my window. My father and mother were no where to be seen. I didn't even hear arguing, that's the first clue I got to them not being home. I ran back upstairs to my sisters room. I opened the door looking inside.
No where to be seen. Where was my family? I started to panic. I felt my knees fall to the floor. Think, think George. My hands touched my hair, pulling aggressively.Didn't Dream say he lives two houses away?
I need to get to dreams house. That's where I need to go. I got up rushing down the stairs. I ran outside, slamming the door behind me and running to the nearest house. My head was throbbing, I didn't even notice until now. Getting to the house, I think is Dreams, I walked up the steps. Knocking on the door, hoping someone would open it.
A young woman opened the door, her face looked fragile. There was a little girl behind her when she opened it. She held onto this woman's shirt tightly. This woman had beautiful eyes, they looked like Dream, but without the brown, straight ocean, deep blue.
"Hello?" Her voice was ever so gentle.
I stood there not saying anything, as my head was throbbing.
"Do, you need something young man?"
I answered ever so slightly, "I-uh-I'm looking for someone named Dream...I think he has my phone. Are you his mother?"
"Yes, who are you?"
"I- just a friend.." that didn't feel right to me but I felt very sick.
"You don't look to good, what's your name young man?"
"George."
"Well George why don't you come inside and we can talk in here. Ok?"
I nodded as we walked inside. It was very beautiful in here. She took me to what looked like a dinner table. Dreams mother sat down looking at me.
I focused my eyes on the little girl who was staring at me. She looked just like Dream, but just a bit younger.
"Drista, how about you go up to you room, ok?" She said, as the little girl went up to her room.
"Is that Dreams sister?"
"Yeah, she just likes to meet people." She nodded awkwardly.
"Well, uh Dreams at the beach, I think with some friends." She continued talking while walking to the near by kitchen.
"You should take some aspirin, you look sick. Did you have a ruff night?"
I hesitated. "Yeah..pretty ruff."
She handed me the aspirin and some water.
"Thank you."
She nodded. "Are your parents home?"
