Kilgharrah Turns Human

If Kilgharrah were human, he is most certain that he would be crying right now. Fortunately for him, dragons do not cry. Unfortunately for him, he is turning into a human. This means that he is going to be overly sensitive to things that dragons simply do not care about.

Like feelings.

Weirdly enough however, the one thing he has been feeling (as a dragon) is extreme loneliness. That is a human feeling, yet he, the Great Dragon, has been experiencing this god awful feeling for the past few years. Well... since the entirety of his race and kin had been slaughtered. He tries not to dwell on that.

Anyway, to the point.

Kilgharrah is to the point in his life where he just wants to spend the rest of his days with the only family he has left.

So, to do that, he has to turn into a disgusting human being.

He can barely stand the thought, but, he has to do this. He deserves to spend however many days he has left with his only remaining kin. That is if Merlin doesn't reject him as soon as he realises who he is. He has a very strong feeling that Merlin's rejection would send him over the edge. He doesn't want to think of what he would do if Merlin did, in fact, reject him.

Definitely something bad.

Stupid human emotions. Whatever.

Stilling himself enough to concentrate on the magic changing his body, Kilgharrah let's it consume him into a bright golden light, which just so happens to take some of his pain away.

~~~
Honestly, the last thing Kilgharrah expected when opening his eyes was about a dozen men in black holding their swords at him threateningly. A slight panic takes hold of him, because he's not a dragon right now.
Is his body still only capable of receiving wounds from very ancient and powerful weapons? And does he still have magic?
One of the men in dark, probably the leader, steps forward, demanding all of Kilgharrah's valuables.
Ah, so these are bandits.
Kilgharrah looks down at himself and pats the severely worn and torn cloth hanging on his now human body, shrugging when he doesn't find anything.
"I seem to not have anything," Kilgharrah says blandly.
Kilgharrah doesn't know what he was expecting, but it most certainly was not the blade of a sword whacking him in the back and bouncing right off. It didn't even hurt. It... tickled. Kilgharrah shivers.
On reflex, Kilgharrah's arm shoots out toward the man who had tickled him, letting magic throw the despicable human into a tree. Kilgharrah cannot remember the last time he had been tickled.
Kilgharrah eyes the other bandits, who now look completely at a loss of what to do. Well, Kilgharrah will gladly give them something to do.
Baring his teeth like a dog wound it's prey, Kilgharrah shoots fireball after fireball at the men, sending them all running for their lives.
That's what they get for tickling him. He can tolerate a lot of things, but being tickled is one of the top things to get the tickler roasted to death.
Once all of the pesky little thieves have scattered like the roaches they are, Kilgharrah shakes himself to regain his dignity. He cannot believe those little apes would dare attack him. He makes a hmph noise and stomps away, toward the city he had burnt in his rage all those years ago. He also cannot believe getting hit with a sword tickled him. He shivers again.
That won't do once he's with Merlin; it'll cause too much suspicion. He'll have to fake a scream through his laughs, however much it makes him sound like a dying sheep. Sadly, there's nothing he can really do about it.
~~~

Kilgharrah is not used to having only two legs. Every other step he takes, he stumbles and has to grab onto a tree.

To his dismay, he has spotted a bunny off to his right that has been following him for a good half hour now, who probably thinks it's being discreet with its staring.

Kilgharrah has never been so embarrassed before.

His musings about his stalker bunny are cut short when he stumbles into a bush and comes face to face with about a dozen bunnies and squirrels.

They all collectively turn and stare at him with those black beady eyes, and their ear twitches. Somehow, he is now even more embarrassed.

"Sorry, I'm not used to these human legs," Kilgharrah mumbles.

The bunnies and squirrels continue to stare at him, making him feel like he's interrupted an important council meeting. Of course, Kilgharrah has never been in one, but he's gotten enough rants from Merlin to know what it is.

Pushing himself up, Kilgharrah doesn't take his eyes away from whatever it is he's just interrupted. When he's a good human length away, one of the squirrels clucks in its throat, which must've been the signal they were all waiting for because all at once, every single animal in the group charges at him.

He did not scream. He swears. What came out of his mouth was a very distinct... okay so maybe he did scream. It was scary alright?

He takes off sprinting in the opposite direction of the little critters that are now chasing him, and actually manages to not trip or stumble.

Looking over his shoulder, the bunnies and squirrels are still chasing him. And they're getting closer.

What the hell.

Kilgharrah looks in front of him again and runs straight into a man in chainmail. He's not going to lie, it actually scared the living daylights out of him, hence why, he let out a short, very loud, screech.

There was a muffled oomph from under him but all Kilgharrah could think about was the critter army chasing him.

He rolls off of the man he had sent to the ground and searches the surrounding trees for his impending doom. He is delighted to find them running the other way and no longer chasing him.

He's had a tremendous amount of bad luck and he's only been human for an hour. Maybe it's a sign.

"Arthur, are you alright?!"

Kilgharrah, the idiot he is, swivels his head to look at the man he crashed into and... oh no.

It's bloody Arthur Pendragon.

Wait... if Arthur is here, that means Merlin should be near! He brings his gaze to the other man he managed not to run into and-

"Merlin!" Kilgharrah couldn't help the ginormous grin that took over his face.

Merlin stilled completely and stared, absolutely gobsmacked, at Kilgharrah.

"Kilgharrah?" Merlin squeaks.
