Y/n's Pov: I was just finishing up another football game when Hugh and Millard because they kept saying I was cheating. I mean I kind of was cheating, I would read their minds to see what they would do next but we don't talk about it. Fiona runs up to me. "Y/n Miss Peregrine needs you.!" she says heavily breathing. Soon after I have cleaned myself up I go into the garden to talk to Miss Peregrine.
Miss Peregrine: "Hello, there Y/n I hope I'm not interrupting something."
Y/n:"No, not at all, but did you need something?"
Miss Peregrine: "Well there a certain someone I would like to discuss with you. I've waited as long as a can but I'm afraid I have just become to curious. In Horace's dreams you two were dancing together. So has that perhaps happened yet?
Y/n: O-oh no it hasn't and to be honest I really don't think it will happen.
Miss Peregrine: Dear never has Horace's dreams not come true. I swear that it will happen in time.
Time skip to dinner~
Y/n's Pov: It's finally dinner time and I'm sitting in between Horace and Fiona. Earlier I read Miss Peregrine's mind and apparently, a new peculiar named Jake was coming to the loop, and that's all I could think about all day long. No matter what I was doing all I was asking myself was "What does he look like?" "Is he nice?" "Will he get along with everyone?" These questions have been weighing on my mind so much that I kind of forgot I was supposed to be eating dinner until I felt a hand cover mine under the table. A bit surprised I look over to see who it is. And who do I see? The one and only Horace with a concerned expression plastered on his face. "A penny for your thoughts?" he says half jokingly. "Only a penny?" I say giggling out of nervousness.
