The Alliance and I, as I would usually be with them, were fighting Code and Whisp in The Ruined Dimension. I noticed Oliver, the youngest of us, was in the path of one of Code's spears. I ran over, grabbed him, and shielded him. Her spears missed and I mimed a sigh of relief. Oliver smiled a little at me and grabbed his weapons, a makeshift pickaxe, and launched again at Code. Code threw him back, but Tate caught him. Miranda was trying to block an injured Alester, being already injured herself. I looked at Tate, fear in my eyes. She nodded. "You guys get out of here, I'll take care of this!" She yelled to the others. Natalie tried to protest but her brother Dennis stopped her. She sighed and motioned for the others to follow. Miranda pretty much scooped Alester up and ran after them. Oliver paused but saw my pleading look and ran after them. Code growled at us, but smiled grimly.

She grabbed Tate with her magic. She gasped and tried to struggle out. Code smiled and laughed. "You're just an ignorant little boy. Why are you fighting? You used to work for me!" Tate gritted her teeth. I backed up a bit. Tate kicked Code and she fell out of the magic. "I. Am. Not. A. Boy." Tate growled, taking Code aback. I smiled at her. Strong girl. Tate snapped her head to Whisp, who had backed up a bit. She ran, launched at him, and hit him in the stomach. Hard. Something flew out of his pocket. I looked at it and froze, stiff as a board. Tate quickly ran over and grabbed it.

It was a flower crown.

It was the kind someone would get at a renaissance fair. The pink faux flowers were fading to white and the part the you tied around your head was slightly falling apart. I stared at it, shaking. Code took it as an advantage and came behind me. She yanked my hair, which I had tied back. I mimed a gasp and fell back. Code smiled and held the back of my head, so that I wouldn't fall completely over but I couldn't get my balance to get back up. I was shaking, scared of what she was going to do. Code took one of her spears and held it to my neck. Tate froze and didn't attack. Dark magic glowed from Code's fingers and I felt it infiltrate my mind. Code smiled grimly. "Now you can feel the world being as mute as you are." She laughed. My eyes widened as I felt the world go quiet. I shivered, so scared. It was so chilling and eerie. Code dropped me and I landed on the concrete. I grimaced as I felt blood trickle down the side of my head. I tried to sit up, but my arms were too shaky and I fell back down. I flipped over onto my back and looked around me. Tate had secretly made a small fire and raced over to me. She hugged me and let her magic swirl around her to block Code and Whisp from hitting us. She created a small portal and got into it with me.

We got to the small base the Alliance stayed in. Dennis and Natalie were wrapping up Miranda's and Alester's wounds. Tate sat me down on a chair and tried to talk to me. I couldn't hear her and started to cry shaking my head. Tate started to panic. She asked me in sign language, 'Parker, what's wrong?' I responded in sign language, 'I can't hear. I can't hear you.' Tate's eyes widened and she walked over to a small fireplace. She lit a fire and walked back over to me. She placed her hands on my head and her eyes turned deep green. I felt relieved as my hearing slowly returned. I shivered, still remembering the chilling silence. Already needing to be quiet after having my voice spirit was stitched together was traumatizing enough. not being able to hear at all was too much for me to bear.

Tate sat down next to me and stroked my head. "It's alright... I'm right here..." She said, her voice soothing me. I fell asleep in her arms, leaning my head on her shoulders.

A had a bit of a memory dream. I was a little kid again and was playing around with my big brother and little sister. My step-dad came in and smiled at us playing. He called us over and I jumped and sat down in front of him. He smiled, brushing his long, loose, dirty blond hair away from his eyes. "Alright kiddos, I'm gonna tell you something VERY important." He said. I nodded, always taking interest in everything he said. "Whenever you're in trouble, and you need your dad to help you, say; "Hope, soul, and spirit.' You'll know it's me, because I'll say it back." I nodded quickly. "Of course Dad!" I said happily. He picked me up and smiled. "And Parker, don't EVER worry about being in trouble. I'll protect you like you're my own children." He said. I beamed happily.

My dream ended and I saw Tate talking with Miranda. She saw me awake and smiled. "Can you hear?" She asked. I nodded. "Are you ready to go back to The Home?" She asked. I nodded again. She smiled and walked over to me. She created a portal a brought me through. She waved goodbye and left. I smiled to myself and saw it was night outside. I mimed a yawn and walked to my room. I sat down at my desk and thought for a moment. I wrote down;
