11. Kiss

" Sweety, what are you doing? " Faith came out from her memories, when Chris knocked on her door and asked while walking towards her.

"Nothing." She said, closing her book, she was scribbling in.

" Okay, I'm going to super market. Emily needed some things. So... You want to join me? " He asked hopefully. Chris wanted to take her mind off of everything for sometime.

" Umm, yeah. Just give me five minutes." She told him, going into her wardrobe.

After that, Chris and Faith started to supermarket.

" How did you sleep last night? " Chris asked her, breaking the silence.

" It was good. I didn't had any nightmare Chris. " She smiled. They reached the supermarket.

" Sweety, I'll be here taking the things. You go and bring whatever you want to buy. Okay? If you need anything, call me. " He said walking towards the other side of the supermarket.

Faith nodded and went to the chocolates section. She was searching for her favourite chocolates , when she bumped into someone.

" I- I am sorry. I d-didnt saw you sir. " She apologized.

" Hey, it's okay. I didn't see you either. " A male voice got her attention and she lifted her head to see a guy, probably of Chris age.

Then she realised she was talking to a guy. Oh no, she needed to leave. They will be mad.

With that she bolted from there, forgetting about the chocolates. She ran to her brother and stood there near him, as if nothing happened.

After sometime, Chris got everything and headed her towards the billing.

Chris was interrupted by a person, who took him in a bro-hug suddenly.

" Chris, how are you idiot? Where have you been all the time? " Chris was taken by surprise. He remembered that voice.

" Hey, Brian, long time no see. I'm fine, how are you? What are you doing here? " Brian was his friend until sophomore year abd then, his family got transferred to Alaska.

" Recently I got transferred here. " He said looking at Faith.

" How are aunt and uncle? " Chris asked about his parents.

Brian's expressions changed. " They met with an accident 4 years back and they're no more. " Chris felt bad for bringing that up.

" I'm sorry. "

" No, no need to be sorry. They're in a better place now. "

" Is she your sister? Faith? " He asked curiously. Faith was embarrassed now. He was the same guy she bumped earlier.

" Yeah, she's Faith. " Chris told him. Faith remember Brian. He was a very nice guy. He always used to play with her along with Chris until their sophomore year. Most importantly, he was not like Max. Brian was cool.

" Woah, she has grown up buddy. " He said. Last time when he saw her, she was only 7 or 8 years old. Almost ten years back. He suddenly hugged her. Faith froze at her place.

All she could think about was, they'll be so mad.

Chris saw the fear in her eyes and he interrupted.

" Brian, we have to leave now. Let's catch up some other time. We're living in the same place. Why don't you come and we can spend time together. " Brian broke the hug and they talked for a while.

Faith was silent all the time. Brian felt something off about her but didn't asked.

After sometime, Brian went away, telling them he got some work to do.
