25. Killers.

Today is her favourite day. Sunday. Little Faith loved Sunday's very much because, Sunday is a holiday for school and she got to play with her dad and Chrissy. They'd take her to the park and play, they'd eat ice cream and then return to their home in the evening. In the evening, her dad himself cooks dinner for them and then she eagerly waits, counting the days for the next Sunday.

But today was different, she wasn't home. She was at Ivanov's. Little Faith's been cranky from the morning. Poor girl missed her dad and Chrissy. Her mood dampened more thinking they'd also be missing her. Igor didn't let her out of his arms from the morning, seeing her upset. The twins decided to take her to their garden behind the mansion after she woke up because now Faith was taking her afternoon nap. She was soundly asleep on Igor's chest , while he was doing some paperwork in the office.

" Teddy, here see. " Little Faith screamed in glee, following a blue butterfly. Nikolai followed her, making sure she won't trip and fall.

" It is bweautiful. " She squealed clapping her hands. " Indeed my flower, beautiful just like you. " He said kissing her cheek.

She cutely wiped her cheek laughing. Igor meeting just finished and he made his way to the garden. Nikolai was playing with Faith, which made her forgot everything about her dad and Chrissy quickly.

A small ten year old boy was observing the little girl play, from afar. He was the  gardener's son. Innocent and bright just like Faith. He saw Faith a couple of times and was very excited to make her his friend. He was alone in that mansion, no one to play but now, he wanted to play with her. She was beautiful too.

Nikolai got a call and he walked away from Faith, making sure she's seated on the grass. The call was important or he wouldn't leave her alone. Seeing his sir walk away, the kid ran towards the little girl, in hopes to play with her.

" H-hi. " He blushed furiously saying a simple word. The girl looked at the boy and gave him a bright smile.

" Hiii!!! "

Nikolai's call took  few minutes and here the boy and Faith were bonding very good. The boy even brought her some flowers and he promised her a tour of the whole garden. They become friends in just a few minutes.

Faith saw beautiful morning glory flowers around the gazebo. Her little heart yearned for those flowers.

The boy ran towards the flowers and plucked some for her. He gave those flowers to Faith who squealed loud saying thank you. That caught Nikolai's attention. He turned to see a boy, pulling her cheeks. That was it. He felt anger consume him.

' How dare he lay his filthy hands on what's his! '

He immediately disconnected the call fuming. Faith, unknown to the whole situation, was playing with the flowers, trying to make two tiaras for the twins.

Nikolai furiously took fast strides towards the little boy and grabbed his neck with his bare hand and lifted him up in the air. He separated that filthy boy from Faith and while still lifting him up in the air. The boy struggled and fiddled his legs in the air due to the pain on his neck when Nikolai dug his nails into his neck. The blood started dripping down his fingers slowly. When Faith saw that she started screaming and before she could do anything Igor wrapped his arms around her little waist and restricted her movements while her little fists were in the air. The boy started thrashing and crying and that's when his mother working over the other side heard and  came running towards her child.
