"BRIAN LEAVE HER- LEAVE HER!!!"

Faith can still hear her brother's yelps and cries of agony ringing in her ears. She just couldn't forget his pleads and screams which fell on deaf ears of Brian and his men. She could not get the helpless look Chris gave her right the second she was forced into the car by Brian. Her full cheek was swollen by the harsh slap which resulted in an ugly bruise on her pale skin. But yet, she didn't felt the pain of the swollen cheek, nor the bleeding ankle. Only thing that's creating havoc in her mind was the wariness about the coming storm in her way.

The Romanos.

The only thing she dreaded the most happened. She had no clue about their escape plan but she should have stopped Chris and William when she came to know. But she was also desparate for her freedom which she knew, will come with a price. Deceiving Romanos. They had warned her and yet she did what she did. Now she was scared of their wrath.

Faith could literally feel her emotions clashing together and she could not understand what to feel first. Panic is the only one that made sense for now. She could not focus on her surroundings as she started pacing around again. She felt so lost. Not knowing what actually happening around her is finally getting to her.

Is Chris fine? He was bleeding and hurt.

Will Romanos hurt dad and Chris?

Where did they go...

Why does everything have to be so complicated? She never asked for any of this. She never asked for riches or jewellery or anything. All she needed was her family. All she needed in that moment was her brother. She cannot live with herself if he doesn't survive. She cannot let him get hurt.

She has to make sure her brother and father are alive. They have to be alive. She cannot let them die. She just CANNOT.

Distantly she can feel the pain in her foot but that does not matter. She does not matter. All that matters is if they are safe or not. This is all happening because of her. She believes everyone in her family had to go through so much because of her. She never did anything wrong but somehow she's got the cruelest fate one can ever attain. Even though it hurt really bad what hurts more is not knowing if her family is safe or not.

This day was not supposed to turn out this way. Lucian never liked things not going according to the plan. And things always go according to their plan. Because the trio always makes sure to cover every angle and every obstacle that could come up on the way, but somehow this didn't go as expected. He didn't expect there is someone stupid enough to even think about laying a hand on what's theirs.

Faith is theirs and theirs alone. Anyone else even  look at her differently will not have eyes to look anymore.

Lucian opened the door and found the room chaotic. Everything was scattered on the floor. Expensive vases and pillows were thrown near the door as if they were tossed at the person tried to enter the room. His heart dropped when he saw  bloody foot prints on the carpet and the floor. He immediately knew who they belonged to. His eyes followed the trail of blood to find Faith sitting in the corner, head on her folded knees, sobbing. His anger doubled seeing her so careless and in pain. He was furious the second his eyes fell on the blood. How could she be so, so careless when she just went through all that pain, they had to go through all the panic, last night.
He reached her in a blink of an eye and crouched in front of her.

" Faith " he gripped her shoulders in fury but as soon as she lifted her head, all his pent up anger for her negligence flew away. His hard exterior crumbled seeing her pale face, slightly swollen eyes but he maintained his mad look. She was crying from a long time and was drenched in the sweat even though the cold. She was bleeding but didn't let anyone come near her because she was scared of them. Out of her wits. She was scared that they'll put her to sleep and do something to Chris. She badly want them to be safe.
