Chapter 1

The window of the plane was too small to hold the actual beauty of the beautiful night Seoul.

Thousands of lights looked like small diamonds from the sky.

Soo-ah looked at them and thought, ''Finally! After five years! Back to my roots.''

She was holding her vlog camera.

She started recording as it was few minutes away from landing.

She got down from the plane and took a deep breath.

''I missed this place.''- said Soo-ah smiling.

She made her way out of the airport.

She noticed her parents waving at her.

She ran to them and hugged them tight.

''I missed you appa eomma!''- she said while hugging them.

''Honey, we also missed you so much!''- said Mr. and Mrs. Kang patting her head.

''Who is ready to eat her favorite dishes?''- asked Mrs. Kang.

''Aw! I missed your cooking a lot.''- said Soo-ah.

''Let's keep moving.''- asked Mrs. Kang.

''Of course! I am already hungry and so tired.''- said Soo-ah.

''Aww, honey let's go.''- said Mrs. Kang and held her back.

They headed to their home.

*Time skip*

*They reached home*

They were eating together after a long time.

''Aigoooo eommmaaa so yummy!''- said Soo-ah putting her favourite food inside her mouth.

''Aigooo I missed seeing you eat like this!''- said Mrs. Kang patting her head.

Mr. Kang smiled at both of them.

''Honey, so what is your next plan?''- asked Mr. Kang.

''I'm going for an interview this Monday.''- said Soo-ah being excited.

''What? What interview.''- asked Mr. Kang being surprised.

''Yeah, appa I applied for a job in Seoul when I was abroad.''- said Soo-ah smiling.

''But.....we thought you will join our company after finishing your studies.''- said Mrs. Kang.

''Ahhh eomma I want to take a challenge for myself by working in somewhere else you know.''- said Soo-ah.

''But....you have to work a lot harder there. It's easier to start working here as it's your appa's company.''- said Mr. Kang being a little concerned.

''Appa.''- Soo-ah put her hand on his hand.

''Don't worry. Trust me. I can do it.''- said Soo-ah smiling.

Mr. Kang smiled although he was tensed and said, ''Okay then I will let you do it but I'm worried for you.''

"I promise if I ever face any difficulties there or don't get selected I will join here as soon as I can.''- said Soo-ah assuring Mr. Kang.

Mr. and Mrs. Kang smiled at her being relieved.

Soo-ah got up and headed to her room as she was very tired of the long journey.

She entered her room and lied on the bed.

''AHHHHH I missed everything so much!''- thought Soo-ah.

She looked out of the window.

It was a beautiful moonlit night.

She looked at the moon and thought, ''This kinda reminds me of my high school days.''

She got up from bed and walked to the window.

She stood by the window and looked outside.

"Gosh I was so stupid.''- thought Soo-ah folding her arms.

Suddenly her phone buzzed.

She looked back at her bedside table and picked up the phone.

''Hey! Have you reached safely?''- ??

''Yes. How are you doing there?''- asked Soo-ah.

''I'm okay. Don't worry. Just came back from work.''- ??

''Stay safe and take care. Don't forget to give me updates about you.''- said Soo-ah and smiled.

''Sure will. Did you have your dinner?''- ??

''Yes! Do you know eomma made my favorite dish today! I missed her cooking so much!''- said Soo-ah cheerfully.

''Did you tell them about your interview?''- ??

''Yes!"- said Soo-ah.

''How did they react?''- ??

''They were worried for me a bit but I assured them.''- said Soo-ah.

''Of course you did. You never fail to make them happy!''- ??

''AWWW aigooo don't say that.''- said Soo-ah shyly.

''Okay okay don't stay awake. You need rest. Good night.''- ??

''Yeah I do. I'm very tired. Good night. Take care.''- said Soo-ah.

''And don't forget to drink lots of water.''- ??

''Okay sir I will.''- said Soo-ah and laughed.

''Good night.''-??

They hung up.

Soo-ah lied on her bed and eventually fell asleep.

*Next day*

Soo-ah woke up by the sun rays hitting her face.

She opened her eyes and looked at the window.

It was a beautiful morning.

Soo-ah smiled and moaned, ''I missed this morning too.''

She got up from the bed and looked outside of the window.

She saw her parents sitting on the garden chairs with coffee cups in their hands.

Soo-ah smiled seeing them.

''Awww they look so happy and relaxed! Love this couple.''- she thought.

She went to the washroom and freshen up to join them.

Soo-ah's likings and preferences changed a lot over these years.

She used to be a badass bitch in high school but now she knows how to love nature and soft music at the same time.

She learnt to run after butterflies and hear birds chirping cause one thing nature never does is, it never betrays anyone.

And she also knows how to act according to the situation to protect herself.

She is a strong independent woman now.
