There's So Much To Be Thankful For

November 26th

Tris' POV

After about a week late both Toby and myself are both feeling better.

Yet on the downside of felling better is going back to school.

From the days that I was out I missed tons of work and over the past few days I been trying to make it all up.

So today is November 26th a.k.a the day before Thanksgiving.

With my family we don't do much for thanksgiving but my parents are both home with is good for Caleb and I.

So I go to get ready and first things first I take my hair out of its messy bun on the top of my hair and go to blowdry whatever is still wet.

After I'm done blowdrying my hair i plug in my curling wand and while I wait for it to heat up I grab my makeup and just do my everyday look.

By the time my makeup is done my curling wand has already heated up and I quickly spritz heat protecter on my hair and comb it through my hair and then start curling.

Once I'm done curling I quickly spray my hair with hairspray and go grab something to wear.

I decide on light wash ripped jeans a nirvana tee that's sorta a crop top and some white dc martins.

Once I get all that on I go downstairs to see my parents since I haven't seen them since my birthday and they haven't seen me and the changes I've made like dying my hair or getting my belly button pierced.

"Hi mom, hi dad" I say as I walk down the stairs.

"Hi hon-" my mom say but then stops and says "Beatrice Prior would you like to explain" she says just gesturing my new look.

"Umm" I say looking down at myself

"do you like??" I ask.

"Beatrice prior" she starts

"I love it you look amazing honey" she says while give me a hug.

"Oh I'm so glad you think so mom" I say.

"Well you do look great honey but your going to be late for school honey "

"Ok well I'll see you when I get home"

And with that I hop into my car and head to school.

Once I'm at school I head straight to my locker and grab all my books just in time before the bell rings and I head off to class.

Time lapse to the end of the day

By now it's around 5:30 and I just finished my homework. Well actually Chrissy and I finished our homework since she came over after school.

Once we put our books down there's a knock at my door

"Come in " I say

"Hi girls, Christina do you wanna stay for dinner?" My mom ask

"Yeah sure let me just call my mom" Chrissy says and gets out to call her mom.

Chrissy comes back in a few minutes later and says "good news she said i could stay but not over night"

"Yay And ok , well mom said dinner will be ready in 30 minutes so.." I start to say and then Chrissy and I both say "NETFLIX" and squeal and start laughing.

~the next day~

I wake up the next day starting off with going down stairs for breakfast.

I grab a quick muffin and a coffee and head back upstairs.

Since I woke up around 9:30 which is early for me for days I done need to get up early I start just watching Netflix and painting my nails.

Since im to lazy to paint them and I'm eating I apply fake French tips and then go pick out my outfit for later.

By the time 1:30 rolls around I've already done my makeup and touched up my hair by curling extra pieces that have died down.

I then go put on my dress which is a tribal pencil dress with a flowy black sheer top (SHOWN IN THE PHOTO) and black caged pumps.

My makeup was just my everyday makeup but with a darker lip.

I add a gold statement necklace and my hoop earrings, bracket and grandmothers ring.

When I walk down the stairs my mother says "oh honey you look beautiful".

I blush and say "thanks mom, so is it just going to be Caleb, dad and us?" I ask.

My mom responds by saying "I was thinking we would invite the new neighbors over have you met them yet?" She asks.

"Actually I have do you want me to go invite them over?" I ask

"Sure honey that be wonderful" she says and I go grab my coat and walk next door to see Toby.

I go to the door and knock and wait for someone to answer.

Soon Toby answers the door and says "to what do I owe the pleasure" with a smirk.

"Well i was just wondering and so was my mother if you and your father would like to spend thanksgiving with us. " I ask.

"Sure then we'll be over in 20 minutes is that fine?" He asks.

"Ya I'll see you soon" I say and give him a kiss.

When it's finally time for Toby to come over I touch up my makeup and go downstairs and wait.

Then all of a sudden I hear a ring from the door bell and my mother heads to get the door.

When my mother sees who's at the door she's surprised and I can tell why she would have never guessed that Toby would be our new neighbor.

"It's good to see you again Tobias" she says.

"You too Natalie, this is my father Marcus by the way" he says.

"Nice to meet you Marcus come in" she says and then she introduces my dad and Caleb.

Soon my father and Marcus go into my dads office and start talking probably about business, politics or whatever. While Caleb and Toby and I sit on the couch and the Toby and Caleb start playing video games which involves Toby and I cuddling on the couch and then playing.

After about 5 games which Toby won all of them we shut the tv off.

Meanwhile Caleb goes to a book or something while Toby and I still are cuddling on the couch I sneak a quick kiss but then hear someone clearing their throat and turn around to see my father standing above us.

"Umm dinners ready" he says trying to avoid the awkwardness.

We go sit down at the table and start passing the plates of food around and before we start eating we go around saying what we're all thankful for. And this year all I can think of is that there's so much to be grateful for.

I've got everything I could possibly want my parent are going to be home more often now and I've got wonderful friends and a wonderful boyfriends and life couldn't get any better than what I've got now.

So now we start digging into our food and sharing stories. This is the way I like to spend my holidays everyone together and happy.
