He was a cold person outside yet he has a gentle heart. Being one of the famous guy in college he received lots of letters everyday but he only have eyes for this one girl. A girl he have known for more than a decade named Miqaila Audrey. She's his only best friend.
He was the only child and his parents were always busy with their work. His mother is an actress while his father owned a company. So he grew up alone with his nanny, Laura. It never crossed his mind that he'll fell in love with Miqaila because she's not what people describe as a feminist. She's just an ordinary girl yet that's what make him fell for her. So he tried to kill his emotion. The unknown feeling that arise within him.
More than because she's his friend, he's afraid because he know he won't be able to be with her. The illness that he suffered for years without her knowing it. He knew he didn't have much time to spend with her. He wanted to hang out with her before her birthday but he was broken when he knew she finally have a boyfriend. Even so he's relieved because at least someone else who love her will look after her when he's not around.

Recap From Chapter 2
I walked her to her house and at the door I spreads my arms wide, "Can I get a hug?" I questioned holding back my emotions and I felt my cheeks became hot. She raised her eyebrow and I instantly regretted my words. I know I sounded a bit crazy tonight but who cares? I just want to hold her in my arms. "What for? You're not a kid." A sweet laughter escaped from her mouth and my heart melted at the sight of her smiling sheepishly.
"It's a goodbye before my flight." I grins still waiting for her to hug me. It's a completely lie.. It's not a hug before my flight because I'm not going anywhere. Tomorrow.. Is my first surgery. "It's not like we're not going to see each other tomorrow." She let out a small laughter and I shrugged. Eventually she wrapped her arms around me. I rested my chin on top of her head and wrapped my arms around her. Her hair smells good and she's.. So small. I don't remember when was the last time we hugged but she's cute.. And warm.
Her head rested right on my chest and it's only silence between us other than the sounds of heart beating like crazy. I don't know who's heartbeats belongs to who but I can tell mine is beating like crazy. I just hope she don't hear my heart went wild.

He lied about his flight being postponed to Monday because he wanted her to go out with Isaac. He went through the surgery alone with only Laura by his side. It all went well and right after the surgery ended he fell into a deep sleep. He don't care about the surgery at all because he knew the chance to survive is very low.
He decided to hide it all from Miqaila.. Even if he died. He don't want her to know about it. It's better if she thought he's fine living his life normally oversea. But when he was asleep he heard the sound of someone crying and when he opened his eyes Miqaila was there sitting right next to his bed. At that moment he once again fell in love with her. His own parents never come to visit him. Indeed he's rich. Spoiled with money and everything. But he never wanted it. All he ever wanted is someone to stay by his side. The only person that did it was Miqaila. The person he love the most. He instantly knew that he won't be able to say no to her. He won't be able to drives her away from him. He really love her.
It made it harder for him to not love her when she confessed that their feelings are mutual. They're both in love with one another but they're afraid to voice out their feelings. Words can't describe how happy he was when he knew she love him too. Even so he wanted her to be with Isaac because he know that he won't survive all the surgeries. Death is part of life and having her in life is the greatest blessing he ever received.
All he can do was silently pray that Isaac will take a good care of Miqaila and love her. Days passed just like that and he can feel his body weakened. He was hoping that Miqaila will visit him again but he know that she might be busy at the cafe. Even so he really hope to see her one last time. He fell into a coma and didn't wake up for days before warmness left his body.
His life ended but the 12 years of friendship he spent with Miqaila remained as a fragment of memories that lingers in the world. Even at his very last moment the only person he ever wanted to see is Miqaila.. But life is not fair and that's how is it. He left without seeing her. He let out his last breath with Miqaila's name in his heart and her face in his mind before his world crumbled into darkness.

I hate it that they're not being honest with themselves from earlier. (I hate myself too for not being able to be honest in many things :') They would've ended up together if one of them confessed early on but they only confessed when Kyle was bedridden waiting for death to pick him up.
He knew there's nothing they can do. The past already happened and the future is yet to be created.
He can only hope all the best for Miqaila in life. Finding her love of life and go through life even without him by her side.
