Liam's pov
Fuck hunters. Fuck them for what they did to the lunar lupus pack, fuck them for training my mate to be like them and fuck them for not letting Ella be a normal wolf.
Ella.
My mate. The wolf that hunts her own kind, the girl who attacked my pack members, the girl who is supposed to be the future Luna of this pack. I know that I barely know her but my wolf calls to her.
The thought of just her has calmed me down tremendously. I guess that's what father meant when he told me about mother being able to keep his temper in check.
I turned down the empty hallway, towards the room where I knew Ari would be.
I cringed slightly at the squeak my shoes made as I turned sharply into the room where the pack's medical supply is kept.
Ari had her back to me. She was dancing away, earphones in, obliviously listening to some new teenaged boy-band, whose voices hadn't broken yet.
I rolled my eyes at how stupid she looks. Rather than stopping her dancing I lent against the doorframe, waiting for her to turn around.
Well that was the plan anyways. Only when she started to belt out the chorus did I jab her side, catching her attention but also causing a deafening scream to escape her lips.
I couldn't stop the chuckles that came from my mouth. Well I sounded more like a hyena on crack but that didn't matter. Ari though didn't find it as funny as I did.
She went on the offensive and started to smack my upper torso. "You're such a dickface" she exclaimed, her cheeks had gone bright red with embarrassment. She continually cussed at me. (I suspected that she may have just vented all the anger she could hold in her body out on me).
"Okay, okay you want me to feel like tenderised meat. I get it, but could you please go do Ella's bloods please?" I asked breathlessly. Ari pretended to think it through by putting her right index finger to her chin, screwing up her face and then tilting her head to the left before slouching her shoulders, sending her eyes to the high heavens and then groaned out a "fine".
I smirked triumphantly as she playfully scowled at me before making her exit.
I quickly left the pack hospital after that.
