╭──── ONE ; friends.

"SO, YOU FACED A HUGE gang but still won last time?" Mizuki asked, her lips parted in shock.

It had been months since she and Baji Keisuke, the boy from before, started becoming friends. He would often visit her and tell her stories about how his day went, and she would happily listen knowing that she cannot go out of the house and experience all the things he could. Through his stories, she felt like she was already exploring the world with him. It felt nice, but he, too, felt like home.

The girl was sitting up on the couch by the living area, while the young man had his head placed on her lap. She was running her fingers through his hair and untangling the mess while softly humming a song. It relaxed him, but he tried hard to stay awake since he still had to go home.

"We did. Our gang is strong, you know? We have a really strong and invincible president, and all the captains are strong, too. I may not say it to them, but they're my treasure. I'm happy that I'm friends with them," he muttered, softly smiling as he gazed up at the girl.

There were a few maids lined up by the front doors, watching over the two teens. Everyone got used to Baji coming over, and it just relieved them that Mizuki didn't like sneaking out anymore because of him. After all, instead of wanting to sneak out, Baji went and brought the world to her.

In return, Baji could feel the calmer version of himself when he was with her. Outside, he had to act all tough but with Mizuki, he felt like he could tell her anything that's on his mind. That was how it was between them- it felt like they were each other's comfort.

"You know, you need to tell them all about it because you don't know when something bad is going to happen, or when one's last day is going to be," Mizuki softly replied, making him stop and think about what the girl said.

She was right, being a delinquent had its huge risks. It was fun, they all had fun, but trouble will always find its way following their tail. He was well aware of that. But somehow, in his mind, he wished that everything could just be perfect- Tokyo Manji Gang being the gang that will change the era of delinquents, with its founding members still in the said group.

"Let them be," he said, chuckling a little before reaching out to Mizuki's stray hair that fell behind her ear.

He then sat up, stretching his arms and laying his back against the couch. Baji didn't notice it, but a small smile plastered itself on the girl's lips. Mizuki liked how she and Baji were friends, because they were different and she could learn more through his experiences. After all, she was homeschooled and cooped up in her home with no one but the maids and butlers to talk to. She exchanged letters with Rosella, but her mother started to reply later than usual.

"I wish I could have friends outside like you do," she muttered, earning Baji's attention.

"Well, I wish I could take you outside, too. It's nice, being free. I don't know how you managed to survive being caged like this, so I'm gonna go and live my best life so I could tell you all about my good memories. So you'd feel like you're there with me, too," Baji said, smirking as the girl blushed at his words. "Hey, don't go falling in love with me, now!"
